I think your idea of well regulated/functioning militia is synonymous with "unregulated"

I want to know what government was given any power in the second amendment. I think you really don't understand constitutional law or theory.

you seem unable to answer easy questions about your own schemes

how long will a new gun buyer have to wait under your new law that requires a mental health examination before they can buy a gun

You keep asking the same question on 10 different threads and ignore the answers. Its lame, and I'm afraid you'll have to play your games with someone else.

Google and learn how long it takes on average in US.

Like I said, I'm done with all the endless repetitions.

It's hilarious that some people attempt to present themselves as a gun owner who is concerned with gun rights..... Then turn around and post rubbish videos like that.

CDC WISQARS doesn't offer access to data going back to 1981 anymore, but when they did the data showed an 80% decline in the unintentional firearm death rate from 1981 to 2019 (0.75 to 0.15).

I think you do not understand the term "well regulated" means "in functioning order".

Yes, that is what it means, which is what I have stated repeatedly, even in the very post you quoted when I said "regulated/functioning".

Would a well functioning militia have mentally insane members in it?

Per every act congress ever put out regulating a militia, including the current version, only the able of body and mind may serve in the militia.
Further: The right is not of the militia, it is of the people.
Finally: If someone has been adjudicated insane and is sitting in the funny farm, they're not part of the militia.
Even further: You can psych test the militia when you whistle it up for training or service.

Exactly. No one has a right to serve in the militia.

And the right in the 2a is entirely divorced from service in the militia, see DC v Heller.

I did a background check on the government and due to their History of violence and criminal behavior I have determined that they should not be allowed to own guns

    Yes, I agree,

Yes. People. People (who are able of body and mind) are the militia

    Disarm the military?

Interesting choice of words. One can also make a point that gun laws "empower" rapists and killers.

Good point. Throughout history, the majority of murder is committed by government and the majority of the victims were unarmed.

no one questions my position or my motivations. I don't pretend to be pro gun while pushing "solutions" to gun violence which are clearly deleterious to lawful gun ownership. I don't defend politicians who are anti gun and then claim I support gun rights

So call out the militia for training and qualification and test them. But you won't do that, you want an unconstitutional expansion of power.

Militia service is not what gets you the right to keep and bear arms.

I do. What you do it invent absurd motivations and present them as someone else's motivations.

    God hates a false witness.

No clue which politicians you are referring to, or why you are telling me this.

On the contrary, I think training and qualification would be a great idea, and I support the idea is a national carry license, which would expand the carry rights to every State. And I do not support bans.

Expansion of power? I dont know what you mean by this.

Correct. There is no need for "service".

So call out the militia, qualify and train them. That will get you one shot at everyone of a certain age.
    National license: See 2a.

You're on record demanding a psych eval prior to a purchase.
