The same teacher could just as easily poison their entire class by bringing in cookies with rat poison. In the end no law will stop a person that is determined to kill and is willing to sacrifice their lives to do it. Instead all you can do is prepare for the worst and do your best to protect yourself and those around you.

Wow, how misinformed this OP is. Trump proposed arming teachers who have experience with guns and are willing to be armed. But do not let the truth get in your way.

Those he is talking about already own guns . This would allow them to carry on campus. Do you have kids you send off to school? I do and Im sick of hearing how insane it would be to protect them the same way we protect money and politicians. Armed guards are fine for armored cars full of cash, but suddenly becomes insane when it involves protecting life.

and you think keeping the school a gun free zone will stop the teacher? You seriously think that someone that is willing to commit multiple murders is going to be stopped by a sticker? wtf??

No, laws are important especially to warn off law abiding people and to provide consequences for improper actions. But murder is already illegal and already has the most potent of consequences. Making something MORE illegal does not effect those already ok with dying. We cannot very well execute some one twice if we did it properly the first time. So instead we must look to prevention and protection, that is allowing more ways of protecting people and increasing vigilance. It is actually one of the reasons I have no problem with registration of firearms. I think you should be able to have all of them you want. I just want to know about it and be able to punish you if you use or dispose of them improperly.

why not? If you create a program for teachers that they go through the same firearms training as the police then whats the issue?

    Quell your triggering.

Ok how about this.. if every door already has a gun free zone sticker and they are being ignored.. maybe a larger sticker? or maybe 2 stickers?? that should do it!
I mean the people willing to commit mass murder obviously just didnt notice the sticker right?? If they did i'm sure they would of just given up and turned them selves in.. BIGGER STICKERS is the answer!!

Australia is essentially a gun free zone

Last mass shooting that was not a family/suicide. 1996

It's another red herring meant to distract in the hope that it will fill the voids of their lack of sensible and genuine action on the issue.

there is NO sensible action from the left with banning a specific gun. The ONLY option that will work to a degree is to ban all guns.. amend the constitution and get rid of the 2nd amendment.. if you win the civil war then there is over 300million guns to collect..

Of course you libs hate guns so not sure what your going to use to win that war but thats a worry for another day I guess.

Which abided by the gun laws that we already in place for 200 ****ing years until an activist right wing SCOTUS judge distorted it in 2008.

Have a look at our gun laws

We banned the rapid fire weapons - the weapons of choice in mass shootings

When a weapon can fire 10 or more bullets a second then arming teachers and putting more guards in place is not going to help

so lets go back to what was legal before that? like in the 20s and 30s? like the Thompson sub machine gun? Like that? no background checks just plop down some $$ and you have a FULLY AUTOMATIC gun?
No need for those slow semi auto guns right?

    so not the AR15 then..

The fully automatic guns are very very heavily regulated. and the "ban" on fully automatic guns that they put in place in the mid 80s or so is still in place..
