My greatgrandfather is one of these martyrs so I think I can speak about it apart of those who doesn't have any conections with the victims of russian civil war. Stalin is a good politician. Judging on the results - close to perfect. None of the rulers in the 20th century received a country as depressive as Russia was at the beginning of Stalin's reign. And non of them left the country as powerful and developed as Stalin did.
But of course he will never be a saint of Russian Orthodox Church. Nikolay Romanov and his family is a good saint, but poor politician. Stalin - somewhat the opposite, but this opposition is never an opposition of Good and Evil. People are always both... Even you have something good although I haven't seen anything good so far. :)

Every time when I see your posts in this section, Russia & Eastern Europe I think - you are a goose or a troll of 80th level (respect) :)

Yeah, Stalin was a good politician. Judging on the results - close to perfect.
During his reign there were some achievements such genocide and deportations of own people (Russians, Ukrainians, Cossacks, Lithuanians, Caucasians, Tatars etc) gulag, mass repressions , the total exploitation of the beggarly, exhausted people, the sick domestic / national policy.

Also Stalin and his entourage very effective screwed each other. It’s interesting when inflexible communists had written penitential letters that they’re spies, agents of foreign intelligence, enemies of the people, counter- revolutionaries. They gave false testimony against their brothers- in - arms and then as a rule they shared the same fate.

Of course Stalin will never be a saint of Russian Orthodox Church but I think the communists from SPb, who gave this idea have fun. Good trolling indeed.

I heard that one man, the Stalin lover/ drocher told a story about his family. Bolsheviks did dispossess his family (took all their property), they were prosperous farmers – kulaks, and sent them to Siberia. A short time later, brother of his grandfather had died. Another brother of his grandfather got 10 years deprivation of liberty and disappeared without a trace in gulag. In 1941 his grandfather was called up, was wounded, got disablement and died soon. But the story –teller still likes Stalin’s regime, which screwed his relatives – just when wood is chopped, chips fly.
In my view he is a fool / mudak. But I think Stalin really needed this sort of a man . The good material / biomass indeed.

Well, It’s interesting to watch when this sort of a man defecate on their grandfathers ‘ graves.
They like the "strong (dik) hand", "great leader" and all these mantras: “Stalin created the strong country” (lol yeah it was the strong country with beggarly, exhausted people) “It was a hard time”, “When wood is chopped, chips fly” etc.

But maybe this is just their defensive reaction - Stockholm Syndrome when a victim have positive feelings to his offender. Well, I hope this defensive reaction can help them.

You will never understand why Russians are not offended and even support their punishment if it leads to a success of a country and is justy then whatever cruel the punishment was - the punisher is never blamed. It has nothing to do with Stockholm or other pervertions. That's how it should be. All people make mistakes and should be responsible for them. The logic is collapsed if the most efficient ruler is called the worst. But such a twist in the brains doesn't happen by itself and needs a long long propaganda and lowest possibility to use one's own brains.
The power of kulaks was caused by Lenin's act of the land (and peace), which was directed against Russia and led to hunger. That's how the kulaks got the land. They took it from the people and they were as guilty as any of nowadays 'businessmen' that rose in the 1990s. Lenin planned the killing hunger and civil war, but kulaks were the executors. So the cruelty towards them is amasingly ... kind-hearted. In any other state an any other ruler who decided to overtake power from the criminals (kulaks in this case) would rather kill them all with all of their kids. But look how kind was Stalin's decision. The same kind decision of his referred to Crimean tatars. If Stalin used the norms of the law than all of them should have been executed for collaboration with Hitler and nazists. But Stalin understanding that a justy execution would kill a small nation almost completely - decided to have a mercyful punishment.

Whatever you think russians made their decision and I am happy to see how russians can outstand an unprecedental propaganda as a nation and social organism, because anti-Stalin propaganda started in the 1953 and continued until probably the end of the last year... 60 years of propaganda! Another people and nation would have already been deceived. For instance christian America was convinced that gay is a norm within less than a half of such a period and there is absolutely no proof of that! But after Stalin there are numerous facts ( and even outnumbering quantity of rumors) of his decisions that caused death or problems to people.

So in your case I wouldn't be surprised that you don't understand the russians. You are just not a russian. You cannot even use the richest way of combination swearing words right enough. The silliest thing that being on such a low level of understanding and development you try to give enourmously high-scale advices and vision of really complex problems. Have You ever looked at yourself in the nighttime at the light of the candle? :) Not sure that you ever did. As for wobbling your tail - that's for sure a habit of yours.

And yes, thanks for your respect. Having over 9000 XP makes you interesting even for those who hates you whatsoever. So I can only wish you a long time improving your outlook, spirit, will, knowledge, that one day I or the one like me could tell the same to You. :) I also started from a school with your ideas about Stalin and Russia. Only now I can understand how brainless and fragile to the most stupid propaganda ever I was.

Lol how do you know it, Durachok? Who are you to say that all Russians share your delirium? :)
Not all kulaks’re exploiters. There were a lot of competent, hard-working, good contrivers. While commies had worked with your greatgrandpa, pillaged ppl. created all these mad experiments like “military communism”, “collectivization” and screwed each other – kulaks mostly had worked hard on their farms.

    You need a good doctor.

As I noticed you like to broach a subject about gays, even beside the point. This subject really troubles you? Maybe something bad has happened with you?
So, the typical basic vocabulary of sick Stalin lovers/ drochers with Stockholm Syndrome who like strong (dik) hand, great leader, knout and ridiculous fables like “When wood is chopped, chips fly” “Stalin created the strong country” etc.

And as I noticed Stalin and entourage really needed this sort of a man. These mankurts are the good material / biomass indeed.
