I did some further research on it and this is what I found:

He describes himself as "an atheist activist who likes banana daquiris." He's grabbed headlines in the past in Florida for his Festivus pole display in the Florida Capitol.

He said he sent 62 superintendents in Florida a request to ban the Bible to protest House Bill 1467, which was signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis on March 28.

"My goal is to use the law as our expert politicians in Tallahassee intended," Stevens said. "There were no carve outs for religious texts, so I would assume they meant for them to be in play.”"

So that's your book banner; an atheist activist.

Anyway I didn't find any evidence that they actually banned the Bible.

The DoE was never involved. The DoE is a FEDERAL organization. This was a STATE demand. How the **** does an adult not already know this?

If it were a federal law, then yes, the DoE should provide guidance. This is a state law. So, yes, the state should provide guidance. Right now we are in "Just toss all of the books that you think might make Republicans sad" territory. Why do you support that?
