BFD, situation could have been avoided with just showing ID but no, old chip-on-the-shoulder BS big mouth, and I can just imagine her mouth just flapping, got her feelings hurt. Area could well have been know for prostitution for all we know.

An LAPD spokesman told CNN Sunday that officers from its North Hollywood precinct were responding to a citizen complaint.

"There was an indication on the radio call that a male white and female black were involved in a sexual act inside a Mercedes with the vehicle door open," Officer Sally Madera said.

Seems to be missing from your wonderful progressive news site i wonder why.... Could it be that the "war on women" bull(*)(*)(*)(*) is dying down so now we gotta create "racism" out of nothing to keep the sheep outraged?

I am a law abiding white man. The most serious crime I've ever been convicted of is speeding. The most serious crime I've ever gotten away with, depending on your perspective, is either DUI (without incident) or possession of marijuana. I generally have (or had) a positive opinion of law enforcement, and a willingness to cooperate when interacting with them.

However, in the last few years, I had one officer use what I thought was "casual conversation" to escalate a ticket from an infraction to a misdemeanor, and another commit outright perjury regarding an incident where I chucked a lit cigarette out of my car. I was in fact guilty, but he either did not take appropriate notes, lost them, or simply failed to check them prior to going to Court, and instead of telling the truth that he had no memory of what happened, he made up a believable, but false story.

You can bet my future cooperation with LEO's will me only as cooperative as required by law.

But I give you props, and wish more were like you.

Or the cop was being dick for all we know. If he asked for her id with no probable cause then he was in the wrong---not her.

I did. I still use, and have no intention of stopping, an electronic cigarette, but my last analog was 4/29/12.

An example of cops being stupid. Don't they have some dangerous criminals to arrest or something? Django Unchained? Ha! More like Django Chained!

Responding to a citizen complaint, eh? Why is it that our hysterical and race-obsessed leftwingers never, ever drop the other shoe when kicking off these inflammatory O.P.s? Do they honestly believe that no other poster will ever bother to check? Sheesh!

Tell ya what, the day your wife or daughter is randomly stopped by two male police officers while walking down a city street in broad day light and accused of being a prostitute you can tell us how well they handled the situation and how perfectly OK it was.

What would identification have provided these officers. They were not looking for a suspect and had not witnessed a crime or even the report of a crime.

You say 'the could well have been know for prostitution for all we know'. . .so how many random women do they stop on a daily basis and ask for identification. And again, was does ID provide an officer not looking for a suspect and with no evidence a crime has even occurred?

She provides ID. . .then what? She has to prove that she isn't a prostitute? Welcome to America. :wall:

I'd be very surprised if there's no law suit. And I would be very surprised if this was within the law. Handcuffing and not arrested? Where I live handcuffing can get you sued - and that's where someone is being very definitely arrested - if you can't prove you had reasonable cause to use handcuffs. This case, on the face of it, is sad for so many reasons. I think it's going to hit the fan big time.

And then at the bottom of the article you have...

"According to Lucas, who believes that they were singled out because they are a mixed-race couple, they have been in contact with 3 lawyers, the ACLU, and the NAACP."

Now you know what this is about.

Her career is stalled. Her most important part was in a freaking cartoon from a few years ago? So . . . instant fame again, meaning name exposure and even the possibility of an eventual infusion of hard cash. Sweet!

    Congrats!

    Quick and true story:

A woman was found hog-tied and killed here a few years ago. The police knew who did it but couldnt prove it. They ended up following the guy (incognito) for almost four months. Then they got lucky. He flicked his cigarette out his car window. They got it, got his dna off it and now hes doing life.

Or perhaps they were acting like "asshats" people complained and when the police showed up to do their jobs she was a pain in the ass.. Then she turns around and contacts THREE lawyers the ACLU and NACCP.. Come on now...

You certainly have the right to sit your a$$ in a jail cell overnight for simply being a d1ck if you choose. Not me. I'm not stupid enough to (*)(*)(*)(*) off a cop over something as simple as a traffic violation. Plenty of people, possibly like you, are comfortable exercising the right to screw with cops . If you can sleep more soundly knowing you have the right to peeve people off because you have that "right", you can sleep it off on concrete. I'll sleep it off in my bed thank you very much=)

Let me ask you, if a cop pulls you over, is the first thing out of your mouth, "Hey, I wasn't speeding pig!!!" or when he asks you for licence and registration, do you ask "Why, what did I do?". You're just asking for it....but you have that right.

If being a sheeple is understanding the right time and place to speak your mind, call me a VERY intelligent sheeple=)

Do you object to her contacting an attorney or that she contacted the aclu and naacp?

Since when is kissing your boyfriend in public illegal?

Its amazing. If all she did was pop out her ID, they would've said, "thank you, sorry about that, just making sure everything was kosher" or something to that degree and she would've been on her way. Its amazing how STUPID people are. If cops ask you to identify yourself, saying "NO, WHAT DID I DO?" thats the quickest way to find yourself in the back of a cop car. You're required to tell them who you are without being a complete d-head. Why is that so difficult for people?

If you're offended when a cop asks you who you are, seek mental help.

Well, contacting the NAACP was not done for legal purposes. That would only be done to play the race card.
