I noticed that the boyfriend referred to his girlfriend by first and last name in his Facebook post. Who uses both names to mention their other on Facebook or anywhere really? Someone who wants attention.

As for the ID thing, she might not would have been detained had she not been a diva by refusing to provide ID. Our cops can detain you until they are satisfied you are who you say you are if they encounter you on public property if you cannot produce ID, not that they usually ask for it unless they are looking at you for something else or you were a witness to something.

Regardless of the ID issue, why on earth would a police office assume that someone kissing someone else is likely to be involved in prostitution?

Kissing on a street is not illegal, nor should it be considered 'reasonable suspicion' for the police to assume prostitution. That's plainly ridiculous, and they should require a far greater standard of 'suspicion' before questioning them.
