And if you choose a medications you doctor refuses to use you are ok with going to a judge and forcing them to do so?

You just denied doing this, and now you're doing it yet again, lol!! Hilarious!

The patient has a doctor that prescribed the medication. Here again, you leave that fact out (for what, the 10th time)? Why?

If the science backs that it could help them, why not? You can't just take you sick person who is on a ventilator to a physician that would be more than willing to try a treatment that has been known to work, so sometimes you need the judicial system to assist in these medical decisions.

Because the doctor that prescribed it is not the one administering it, the judge is forcing someone else to do it....and you think that is the purpose of a ****ing judge.

Sure, they have a doctor that prescribed it. This is the fourth case of judges doing this that I've read about. The hospital could certainly release the patient to another hospital that will allow it, but that's risky.
A purpose of a judge is to settle disputes, not prescribe medicine. That's why he ordered the doctor's prescription be administered.
Given Fauci has a hard-on for killing people by denying them treatment, he fast tracked remdesivir (a drug that he knows has deadly side effects) and is stalling ivermectin.

So, it is widespread, that makes it ok?

But in doing so he is forcing someone to administer it. I thought you folks were against such things. Cant force someone to bake a cake, cant force someone to take pictures, but you are damn sure on board making someone administer a medicine they do not wish to.

This is the problem with partisanship, you cannot have any sort of internal consistency.

We don't have a current COVID Passport/Vaccination Card thread on here, so I'll post this hysterical article about a woman who is looking at jail time in Hawaii for the most obvious fake card ever...

Read the article, look at her card, read her easily disprovable lies and have a chuckle

    https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/2021/...lleged-fake-vax-card-woman-arrested-honolulu/

Maybe this same idiot judge can dismiss her case and give her a medal?

The patient can always choose what treatment they receive or do not receive.

Normally a doctor 'should' have the right to refuse to perform a procedure or treatment if they want or they feel it's unethical to do it. That's for small practice but in hospitals and especially when talking about life saving treatment, they can't deny treatment.

Outside of the hospital, the patient can find a new doctor if they refuse. This is not the case of the hospital refuses and the patient cannot be safely moved.

So you will be fine when a doctor needs to administer hormone drugs to their trans patient in a religious hospital, yes? What about an emergency contraceptive in this same religious hospital?

They have to approve the treatment, but they do not get to put together their own treatment plan

Of course they can, they do it all the time. They have a list of procedures or treatments that they provide, one cannot normally go in and demand something they do not provide.

In life or death situations where it could be risky or impossible for the patient to be transferred to another facility, maybe. I'm not sure when the medicines in either of your examples make the difference between a person living or dying, however.

He actually said “disinfectants” — likely something he overheard in an actual medical briefing that he was only vaguely paying attention to but then had to use crayon logic to fill in the gaps.

But yes, his supporters did indeed drink bleach — just like they are now going to their local co-op and buying horse dewormer.

Darwin is fighting hard for them but we have to many safety nets to catch these idiots.

You mean a judge ordering a doctor to treat a patient as the patient's guardian has demanded? How is that like removing guardian rights? It's more like recognizing existing rights. What right does the hospital have to refuse this treatment and why in God's name would the hospital want to?
So your question is that you posed as: "how do you all feel about a judge telling a [hospital to treat the patient in the manner the] doctor [prescribed and the patient's guardian requested]?"

My answer is, I'm absolutely fine with it, and the hospital needs to be held liable for damages related to their delay in implementing the doctor's orders. Sounds like this hospital is filled with dangerous woke clowns refusing to follow the Doctor's orders and the Guardian's wishes.

    Fake News.

Ivermectin is also widely used in humans and even children. What exactly are you accusing the prescribing doctor of?

Some clinical studies showed shorter time to resolution of disease manifestations that were attributed to COVID-19.

Hashim HA, Maulood MF, Rasheed AW, Fatak DF, Kabah KK, Abdulamir AS. Controlled randomized clinical trial on using ivermectin with doxycycline for treating COVID-19 patients in Baghdad, Iraq. medRxiv. 2020;Preprint. Available at: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.10.26.20219345v1/.

Khan MSI, Khan MSI, Debnath CR, et al. Ivermectin treatment may improve the prognosis of patients with COVID-19. Arch Bronconeumol. 2020;56(12):828-830. Available at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/33293006.

A shorter time to viral clearance.

Ahmed S, Karim MM, Ross AG, et al. A five-day course of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 may reduce the duration of illness. Int J Infect Dis. 2020;103:214-216. Available at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/33278625.

Lower mortality rates in patients who received ivermectin than in patients who received comparator drugs or placebo.

No. Someone ate fish cleaner because it contained similar ingredients as the medicine hydroxychloroquine. Trump never said to use bleach. He said "sanatize" and the news ran it like the game Telephone.

Interesting. Hopefully he consults a doctor for proper usage and is monitored for issues.

The article is a bit slanted...

"The FDA and the CDC have warned against taking the drug in such instances — adding that there has been an uptick in calls to poison control centers across the U.S. by people who have ingested it. Misinformation and unsubstantiated claims touting the drug have spread widely on social media.

There are only three vaccines approved by the FDA to prevent COVID-19: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson."

    1) The drug isn't being used in place of the vaccines to prevent covid. It's be used as a treatment. Why did they list the covid vaccines approved for 'prevention' instead of drugs that are approved for 'treatment'?

" Ivermectin, an anti-parasite drug commonly used in livestock, is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration to prevent or treat COVID."

    2) Many drugs are used on animals and humans. It falsely tries to insinuate that this drug has only been designed/approved for and tested on animals. This is not the case. https://www.webmd.com/drugs/2/drug-1122/ivermectin-oral/details

This article is a great example of why there is so much distrust.

Aside for merits or risks of human use of pharmaceutical ivermectin for humans, the anti-vaxers very frequently promotes animal non-pharmaceutical ivermectin (to save money and avoid doctor care, apparently, as many of the anti-vaxers are only involved with "healers' and nutritionists and promoters).

Here in this side a number of anti-vaxers promote animal ivermectin as "safe" for human use, and NO anti-vaxers here (or elsewhere) seem to never discourage animal drug ivermectin, even in the midst of other promoters of this harmful concoction.

There are good reasons to distrust these stories as ivermectin has not been approved for COVID, and to say "approvals" for COVID use is a lie.
