So there are two things being argued here, and your point is well taken (for idiots taking livestock medicine).

    1) Don't take livestock Ivermectin. Yeah, no kidding. But this is not what this thread is even remotely about.
    2) Don't take Ivermectin at all, which is what this thread is really about, causing the judge to have to order it.

Most in the right were against that, the left loved seeing a mother’s parental rights stripped over the poke.

Know you made it look as if "I say this is even worse than that." the treatment was worse.. Maybe better structure in the future..

Of course, hospitals are likely banning Ivermectin because they just lost malpractice protection for it because of an Amendment to the PREP act by the NIH that now will only protect doctors and hospitals and pharmacists when they prescribe FDA-approved medicines. This was a new requirement.

We can guess why. It protects the makers of the expensive treatments that aren't really working anyway.

In the end, the "ban" on Ivermectin has NOTHING to do with science and is all about politics and the money.

And now most on the right are all for this while being against that. I am against both.

One of the many benefits of having not sold my soul to a political party.

This thread is really not about Ivermectin, no matter how much you try to make it be.

The thread is about if a judge should have the power and authority to order a hospital to use a specific medicine or procedure.

You all say a judge does, I say they should not.

I agree.... those were 2 flawed decisions, although this one was much worse theoretically....

The vaccination one is a one off...

This one could truly be cracking open Pandora's box...

That's the problem. It wasn't endorsed. It was ordered.

No, I say a judge can order a prescription written by a legitimate, licensed doctor be administered. I'm not really worried about precedent. Hospitals have become so territorial over the ability to shift income from doctors to them that they have made it hard for a patient's normal doctor to even see them sometimes if they end up in the hospital. Like I pointed out earlier, I know several older doctors who used to be able to go into the hospital and treat their patients without all the bureaucracy. They can't anymore without jumping through a bunch of hoops or giving up part of their income to do it.

The Metadata is all there. It's fairly detailed.

Here is one of the continuing results from a peer reviewed late treatment study.

There is absolutely no one advocating for anyone to take live stock ivermectin. Prescribed Ivermectin, absolutely as it has show fantastic results in human trials.

which is the same thing as I said.

Of course not, this is all political for you and you cannot see past this one case to the problems it could lead to later.

Albion woman gets experimental COVID treatment
COURT ORDER: Family members say Dickinson’s condition has improved

ALBION — A fundraiser has been established for an Albion woman who last week became the second person in Western New York to have a court-ordered treatment for COVID-19.
Glenna Dickinson, 65, was hospitalized in Rochester Jan. 12 and was on a ventilator since Jan. 17.
According to family posts on a gofundme account and on Facebook, Dickinson’s condition deteriorated.
Doctors began treating her with Ivermectin, a drug used to treat children and animals for lice.
Friday, a state Supreme Court judge ordered those treatments to continue.

Dickinson’s condition has improved, family members say.

“She has been able to make this miraculous progress thanks to legal intervention and an experimental medicine being administered as a result of a court order,” her niece, Nicole Mitchell wrote on a gofundme account she established. “As you can imagine, the medical costs and legal expenses are adding up. The family needs to retain a lawyer to ensure she receives the doses that are keeping her alive. Any donation is greatly appreciated. If you are not able to donate please help by sharing her story to spread awareness and say a prayer for her. Thank you.”

Ivermectin has been used in numerous cases across the county but has not been FDA-approved for treatment of COVID.

Earlier this month, a judge in Erie County ordered doctors at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital to treat an 80-year old woman with Ivermectin. The patient has since been removed from a ventilator and discharged to a rehabilitation facility, according to The Buffalo News.

The fundraiser for Dickinson has raised about $3,200 of its $7,000 goal.

No. Your statement (and other posts where you leave out select facts) implies that the judge and family are just creating medical advice and treatments out of thin air.

The forum rules are that in the Current Events tab the title of the thread has to be the title of the article.

Not even once. you have already said you are only ok with this for treatments you approve of, so you have no standing at all

It's about the patient being able to direct their treatment and yes I discuss medications with my doctor and choose which I will use.
