NO, it wasn't what you were saying. IF you want people to understand your point of view you must describe it accurately.

In post 726 I quote you as saying , "abortion is a we decision. A woman does not make the decision on her own"""

Then I posted . " It is HER decision and her's alone just like it would be YOUR decision to make YOUR own decisions on medical care"""

And you post that IS what you're saying.

    That is two different things.

Once again you are wrong, but it is ok to be wrong,

nope you are wrong. I said the last part. Meaning if she decides to have an abortion a doctor is involved. You said it was HER decision, then concede the doctor is involved, which I have been saying all along.

LOL! You just keep forgetting that the posts are proof of YOUR error....you are flip flopping , saying FIRST it's a decision involving a doctor then it isn't then it is....I have you spinning so much you forgot the proof is in the postings LOL!

Just to clarify: the doctor doesn't make the decision, he merely makes recommendations. The doctor decides for himself if he will perform any abortion. It is the woman's decision whether or not to abort anytime before viability, and it is also her responsibility to find a willing medical professional to perform it. No doctor has the authority to veto a woman's decision or to force a particular action no matter how convinced he/she knows what should be done.

How do you define "danger" to the woman?

    - - - Updated - - -

Steve, I notice you still didn't answer my question. If "gender selection abortion" was made illegal....how EXACTLY would you prosecute it? On what evidence?

This is part of the "We love the woman too" hokum that some "pro-lifers" try.

They want to make it seem as if doctors are "talking women into abortions, the poor women don't REALLY want them. They're just so gullible and naive and the evil, greedy doctors browbeat them into having an abortion"

That way the "pro-lifer" rather than seem like a misogynist who wants to control women.....can try to portray themselves as the "liberator" or just "friend" to the women.....while of course basically calling them stupid.

Our young friend Sam hasn't learned that trick yet...and still calls the women who have abortions "evil".....but likely he'll pick up on Steve's little gimmick and start claiming that "doctors talk women into abortions".

BTW, this theory in addition to being insulting to women....is demonstrably false. Given there is NO doctor directly involved in a woman taking RU-486. Though I'm sure those "pro-life" "we care about the woman too" folks will try to blame THAT on "evil pharmacists". :)

Never once have I mentioned, or even eluded that doctors talk women into anything, or men for that matter.
This whole pro-life doesn;t care about women lie is pretty laughable. Gives me a nice chuckle every time i see it. Lie lie lie. Bold faced and blatant. You are playing Fox's little tricks of lies about war on women and putting words into my mouth that were never mentioned. Makes debating very easy. Just call it what it is, a lie and move on. No need to waste time debating something that never happened

    - - - Updated - - -

nope you are wrong again Fox. Keep digging. Come on now you even posted the quotes and still got it wrong. the doctor is involved in the decision. You even agreed. It is a WE decision. The doctor talks to the woman about her options, tells her the risks etc etc. She ultimately makes the decision, but the doctor is involved. It is a WE decision, not ehrs alone. How can it be hers alone when the doctor give recommendations. The doctor and others influence her decision. Every decision is influenced by outside sources. They don;t make it for her, but what they say can help her make an informed decision.

No, I have posted the whole sequence several times for anyone to see....and YOU are flip flopping, wriggling, squirming as usual...:) It's been fun :)

    Do you agree:

The doctor has NO involvement in the woman's initial decision to have an abortion...yes or no ?

nope no squirmming at all, you keep digging though. Keep thinking you are onto something. You aren't.
initial decision the doctor is not involved, sure I'll go with that, whatever initial decision means.

You don't know the meaning of the "woman's initial decision" ????

    No wonder you're confused.

    Here, I'll help.
It means when a woman finds she's pregnant, the first, and only, person who decides if she's going to have a baby or not is that woman....NO one else.

Sometimes counselors tell women that having an abortion is the right choice.

so you are saying nobody else influences her initial decision? If you are saying that I will disagree in most cases.
If you are saying that her yes, or no answer is the one that legally counts, then yes I will agree.

I don't need to prove something that happens everyday. It does happen, fact. People influence other people everyday and their decisions.
nope we are discussing if the doctor is involved in her decision. He/she is involved, you agreed already, why we are still discussing this is beyond me.

    1. Okay, so if a doctor says that going to term is "dangerous" to the woman's MENTAL health...you'd agree to her having an abortion....uh....right?

    2. WHAT "evidence"? What is it? How do you obtain it? (Hint? You'll never be able to come up with anything, because the idea of "banning gender selection abortion"...is a red herring)

    - - - Updated - - -

No, they tell them it's THEIR choice. While YOU would tell them it's the wrong choice, wouldn't you, Sam?

    - - - Updated - - -

Fine, Steve....I'm going to use that same reasoning for my claim to what you REALLY mean in your posts.

There's nothing wrong with encouraging a woman to choose to not have an abortion. However, there is something wrong with encouraging a woman to have an abortion. Telling a woman that it's "her choice" is indirectly telling her that abortion is okay.

    1. is it life threatening? deemed life threatening by a doctor?
    2. No the idea of banning gender selection abortions makes sense. You do realize this occurs after week 18 correct?
you can use that reasoning if you wish. It will still make it a bold faced lie, but lies happen everyday too. So go ahead with your pointlessness
