I did not see too many Republicans out on the streets in 2003 thinking that we were about to be defeated in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I like a mix in Congress. I want a couple figurative/ verbal bomb throwing demagogues( to scream truth to power), I want some progressives( Warren) and Social Democrats (Sanders) to keep the liberals from making out in the cloakroom with corporate lobbyists or at least keep their panties from coming off. , I want some old fashioned liberals( Biden) to write bills that might pass and work and a slice of centrist/ moderates to amend those bills so that they can aspire to get a couple of republicans on board as often as practical.

The problem as I see it though is when one party refuses to legislate and just acts as the opposition, not contributing to a bi-partisan solution. The GOP has abandoned so many principles that it is mind-boggling. Look what they did to Cheney and Kinzinger. This is pure partisan cult behavior.

Why is it the left always want to ignore what happens on their side and talk only about what happens on the other side? However, as bad as Biden is doing I see the need to talk about the other side and ignore what is going on in this country.

 

Neither party is interested in this. I find it incredulous when one faction member wags their finger at the other like this. Not all attacks are worthy of disputing, Much of what we see is off the wall BS with no basis in reality except it is someone's distorted view of an event. There are people here on both sides that make cogent argument for their cause, time to time we get to see them. Not all of us recognize them.

Sad that you were out to lunch while the mayors of NYC and Washington DC along with many other Democrat politicos were heaping praise on the rioters as they were rioting.
