You DO realize YOU posted this thread in the POLITICAL Opinions and Beliefs section, right??? Can you not see that?

With the given moisture content in exhaled human breath being high, it keeps the petri dish face diapers nice and moist for bacteria and other pathogens to thrive.

It's been turned political by the faithful. However, this thread is not about DeSantis. If you want, I can send you a handy link to threads specifically about him.

Do you think kids dont touch their snotty mask and then everything else?

Well gosh....ya think that might be because the thread is in the POLITICAL section??????????????
But it is about your issue with people who want kids to wear masks. Cruz and DeSantis are two of those people :D
Of course they do. Is someone arguing they don't?

It's political because the faithful want to FORCE kids to wear mask.

Where it's NOT political is the common sense aspect of cross contamination.

So let me ask you this....knowing they will be touching these contaminated mask and then other shared surfaces, do YOU support forced masking of kids?

You realize that's a great way to spread it right? Especially Delta which we have been assured is FAR more communicable.

Bacterial Pneumonia and Other Health Risks of Wearing Masks Alarm Doctors
    https://www.ernestdempsey.com/bacte...-health-risks-of-wearing-masks-alarm-doctors/

The Activist Post wrote that Dr. Meehan and other concerned doctors as well as some business owners have filed a lawsuit against the mayor and health department of Tulsa, OK, over their mask mandates. The business owners say in light of the science showing the health risks associated with masks, they do not want to put their employees at risk by enforcing the mask mandate required by the city.

In related news, a couple of months ago, The New York Post reported on the oral health damage associated with wearing masks. Dr. Rob Ramondi was cited by the paper telling that they are seeing patients with no previous history of oral diseases develop decaying teeth and diseased gums due to wearing masks for long hours, a condition the doctors dubbed “mask mouth”.

My 6 yo grandson started 1st grade last week ... private Catholic school and so far maskless ... the parent /teacher committee agreed to a Monday morning Abbott swab for all students/teachers and daily temp checks ... no problems so far and the parents appear unanimous in support of the safety measures ... visitors to the school must wear masks ...

Incorrect, it's political because of where you posted it. Why would you post this in a POLITICAL section if the issue isn't political??? Can you admit you posted the thread in the wrong section and have it moved?
I don't support anyone being forced to wear a mask.

No I wont, it's a dual issue, political and the science. If your thing hurts, use the button. Dont care.

When the students were required to wear them, was there a surge in other illnesses linked to the masks? Do we have any stats on that? I don't remember that being an issue previously.

I do know that this time around, the delta variant is attacking younger people more than before. Many of the youngest ones don't get terribly sick, and seem to recover quickly; however, we're seeing a surge in the lingering effects months afterwards. Those effects include serious issues like heart and organ failure.

It seems the pertinent question is, do we want to try to slow the spread of covid or just let it go? It's a question of balance in that we have to ask how much risk we take in either direction.

So you admit it's political. Why did you argue earlier that it wasn't?

And how did I dodge your question? What part of "I don't support anyone being forced to wear a mask" did you somehow not understand???
    Let's recap....
    You asked me:
"do YOU support forced masking of kids?"
    to which I replied:
"I don't support anyone being forced to wear a mask."

So how is my response considered "dodging"?

Let me ask you a practical question. In all seriousness. Are you prepared to wear a mask the rest of your living days?

We are told this is much more contagious, so it stands to reason cross contamination from mask is a valid concern. It's just simple logic, you have this germ laden mask on, you touch it, you then touch surfaces others will also touch...

I have seen very little (if anything...at all....) published that even addresses this

To the bolded, yes my thoughts exactly. My premise is simple, mask used improperly (like most are) while providing protection fro airborne droplets (huge in the microscopic world) can be a very real vector in spreading it.

I'm really surprised Democrats don't run COVID-19 as one of their Presidential candidates in 2024. Maybe they will. Sure, COVID-19 was born in China, but his dad, Dr. Fauci, is a US citizen. Sort of the same situation as Obama. So COVID is eligible to run, and is smarter than Biden at this point. It hates church goers and likes strip clubs and casinos, big box stores with high paid lobbyists.

COVID-19 is the perfect leftist candidate for President in 2024.

COVID-19 pretends to be a non-racial issue while attacking blacks at 1.4 times the rate it attacks whites. I'd say he/she is a shoe-in.

I obviously re read it and edited that out of my post for that reason. Can you give me 30 seconds before responding?

Is it hard to understand where I said it's a dual issue? Is your "gotchya" so important you cant see that?

You want to bring DeSantis and Cruz into it, I'm more focused on the silliness of forced masking, not your partisan politics.

So you dont support forced masking but are arguing against the simple logic here....got it.

I see you're back to trolling. Or you have short term memory loss. Let me refresh your memory with posts from yesterday

So for the sixth time....I do not support mask mandates...for anyone....at any time...or any place.

And get a new injection (that big pharma profits obscenely from and holds the patent) every time they whip up the fear of a new mutation?

That's great. Except for the fact that you're in here arguing against people who you claim are basically saying the same thing.

Glad to see that you agree masks are NOT a long term practical solution to this.

You seem to have reading comprehension issues. I'm not arguing against anything. I just merely asked you if you disagree with Cruz and DeSantis' stance on forcing kids to wear masks. Surely that must upset you, right?

I agree, I know a teacher and she said they tried at first to make the children wear masks, but became the mask police and it took up all their time

the only real options are optional masks \ remote learning

it would be sad if a child gave covid to a loved one, but at some point we have to say, the vaccine is available to all, has been for a while, and we will have to move on

I suppose thinking about COVID from a scientific, practical standpoint, and wanting to have a discussion about it is now "trolling". Figures.
