    Yes, of course I do.

    - - - Updated - - -

If HC had won the EC and lost the popular vote, they'd be celebrating the EC for helping the Democratic Party win the election.

    It's how they roll.

it takes two to unite, republicans did not want to unite....

I hope democrats are not as sore losers as republicans were and will at least give Trump a chance

I hope Trump really is for the middle class.. and really wants to bring our jobs home.......we will see

The mob rule ends at the Electoral College.

If he does not produce jobs for the Rust Belt, he is toast in four years.

If he runs up more of a deficit, due to nothing but trickle-down economics of mindless tax cuts or bubble headed wives maxing out credit cards for a National Treasure Sweepstakes in the attic and bubble housing, he is toast.

It was the talk of protectionist legislation by Democrats that had me put my stocks into bonds before Monday, October 19, 1987. Our shop’s “Rosie the Riveter” (she wired the pedestal), who had been there during the Bell Bomber days, had to retire to keep from losing her shirt, right along with a guy who worked the port wheel well, and many others had to retire that week too; you might understand the accounting better than I do.

I am not totally unfamiliar with your points, you are many times right.

I think the election results are hilarious. But I agree, I think the electoral college is BS. It should be popular vote, opens up to more candidates also.

    Simply false.

I have no problem with a republican form of government. In a republican form of government, the people elect representatives who are responsible for running the government. Under a true democracy, ever law would be determined by popular vote, not by vote of representatives.

But when we have a system where the people voted for a Democratic president in four of the past five elections, but we have three Republican presidents, something is wrong. Our system is not reflecting the will of the people.

You're stating a conclusion without explanation.

You're arguing that determination by majority vote is "mob rule".

Yet it is the majority vote in each state that chooses the electoral college. How is that not "mob rule" under you're own definition?

if Hilary had wont the EC and Trump the majority vote, you would be claiming the country was divided and should work together even though Hillary won, same is true now

Our system isn't set up so population centers in a handful of states control the entire direction of the country. The founders set up the system that way on purpose. They opposed the concept of a "true democracy".

The left's problem is clearly with America, it's founders, and its Constitution.

Tough luck buddy. Maybe hope for a little more demographic change to occur before you get your 1000 year rule.

I know that from your previous posts you support disenfranchising classes of voters when they do not support your political agenda.

    I don't.

They weren't disenfranchised. Their states' electoral college votes went to Hillary. The problem for you is, more went to Trump.

But you're clearly in favor of a handful of population zones disenfranchising the majority of the country. It supports your political agenda.

Keep whining about the system. Will accomplish nothing. Enjoy!

This republican form protects minorities from the tyranny of the majority.

I'll take a republic over a democracy any day.

No, I favor the American people choosing their president.

Something they have been denied now in 2 of the past 5 elections.

    - - - Updated - - -

It does no such thing. It allows a minority to have "tyranny" over the majority.

It may take a Republican candidate losing an election while winning the popular vote to motivate a change in this. I hope we could see it changed in the near future, but I kind of doubt it.

The data below really bothers me. Why should someones vote essentially count more if they live in a less populous state? T

agree, and I think Trump can do well if republicans and democrats give him a chance, Trump is not far right, if republicans think Trump is gonna take them far right... I think they are mistaken

Trump has a choice to make, work for all the people or be a puppet for republican in Congress

I'm not upset that American voters made their choice.

I am upset that they are not getting their choice. For the second time in the past 5 elections.

    - - - Updated - - -

I'm sure they'll remember as well has they remembered it when Bush lost the popular vote but got the presidency.

Yes, we are the United States of America, a majority of whom did not get their choice of president for the second time in five years.

I know you love that. As long as it is your guy that benefits from it.
