Tedros said the WHO had "made the assessment that COVID-19 can be characterized as a pandemic."

NBA suspends season. Followed by the BIG10 and other conferences and finally the NCAA cancels all winter and spring sports. These actions taken while Trump still described the sense of risk as very, very low. These actions that cost them 10s of billions of lost revenues jump started the US into action that undoubtedly saved many, many lives.

WEEKS? Do you realize that it's only been a month since Trump acknowledged there was a problem? Two weeks before that Congress passed an $8 billion package to support initial responses to Covid-19? That Trump initially rejected it as being too much? Prior to their action Trump was playing the Simpson's chief of police, "Nothing to see here folks. Move along."

Yeah, yeah, we all know about his travel ban from China that incidentally came after airlines had already halted flights to Wuhan. If that had been meant to halt the spread then he would not have halted travel from non-endemic areas and he would have quarantined those that were let through. There have been over 400,000 people traveled from China to the US since his "ban". The effect of those types of bans are minimal unless you completely control them. New York's outbreak began from European travelers.

He is now and likely always will be more concerned with his brand than doing a good job. Everything he has done is in reaction to what others have done before him.

 

What is the maximum number of deaths in which you would NOT take "special offense?"

 

Get the US down to double digit deaths per day instead of four digits and I'll think about it.

BTW those are not Chyrons, those are lower thirds, a Chyron is the device that is used to build the lower third images and insert them into the video frame.

 

Diversion noted. The facts remain about Biden, he opposed the travel restrictions and use them to attack Trump. Had Biden been president the situation would have been exponentially worse.

No fabrication and you have been talking the travel restrictions page after page. The fact remains had Biden been president there would have been no travel restrictions January 31 and the deaths would have been exponentially higher.

And I think it is now obvious you cannot show where Biden supported those restrictions.

But if you think the travel restriction resulted in exponentially less deaths, prove it. Or - at a minimum - find me a single reputable attempt to model or estimate the impact from trump's magical bandaid that somehow negates all of the other **** ups he made.

 

So now you have gone from supporting your own claim that Biden called the travel ban xenophobic to demanding proof that Biden supported that one policy at the time that Trump made them.

You wouldn't prefer to see proof that Biden called for more testing and more PPEs explicitly at the same time that trump said anyone who wants a test can get one and that there are no issues with PPEs?

Let's pretend that the partial travel restriction actually accomplished something, what did Trump do with the extra time that it supposedly bought? He was asked that question explicitly and I hope you can come up with a better answer than he did.
