    Just one point of contention with your post: those are not "daily press briefings," they are Trump's daily "I'm a whiny little bitch and it's all about me" shows.

    He can't have his rallies, and his ego demands constant attention. He said Pence was leading our response, but Pence is in charge of exactly nothing and rarely gets a word in edgewise.

    Which is why he shows up. In fact, the viewers are the only reason he shows up. Although he supposedly put Pence in charge of the task force, he keeps running the show -- and that's what it is, a show. The ratings are what matters, not the pandemic and the fact that Americans are dying by the tens of thousands. His enormous, fragile ego demands constant attention, and right now he can't gave his precious rallies, so these daily pressers that are supposed to inform us end up being all about Trump.

    That extra time allowed our hospitals to not get completely over run, which is exactly what it was supposed to do. He saved lives, while democrats did nothing at all lol besides tell people to get in large groups.
