    You're kidding, right?

This is what a law degree gets you? Keep pounding that square. You'll get it in the hole eventually.

Naw. I was being polite and trying to determine what “proof” is to you. This week I’ve shown anti gun nuts actual state laws that conflict with their opinions and they still cling to those opinions.

I’ll ask again in good faith hoping for the best. What kind of evidence would constitute “proof” for you?

I’m not interested in spending time educating you if you are going to reject any and all evidence.

is that the best you can do in what appears to be a losing effort to rebut what I posted?

It's a ludicrous statement to conflate gang violence with mass shootings. You should be aware that the FBI watch list is predominantly focused on extreme right-wing groups. I'm not saying there aren't left-wing ones too, but by far, it's predominantly right-wing.

But let's get off this petty tribal chant you insist on and provide us with a S O L U T I O N to curbing and abating these mass shootings -- and something other than "more guns".

sadly the FBI has become a tool of the Biden administration. I guess black gangs are not considered in whatever self serving category that Garland has ordered to be observed. White extreme right wing groups have killed less people in the last 20 years than black gangsters kill in several months in democrat run cities. Even when you throw McVeigh in there (clearly extreme right wing white killer) the black gangsters have killed far more

No more than you are denying the increase in mass shootings by lone wolves.

how many people die each year in mass shootings?

why is the left wing media spending so much time hyping these shootings while ignoring the fact that these shootings are a minor number of violent deaths nationally?

I am amazed that it has to be explained to you that the danger of mass shootings is in its ******ned randomness. It's happened in schools, malls, grocery stores, Home Depots, Walmart, movie theaters, and churches -- and I visit quite a few of those places on a regular basis, so yeah, I'm concerned because I could be next. Gang shootings generally are between gang members. You are so desperate to grind your axe, you cannot see how others view your bigoted babble.

Oh dear, I was in federal law enforcement for 24 years. in california, over the last 30 years, the average number of people killed in mass shootings is slightly below FIVE a year--that's less than one weekend of casualties in chicago, DC, baltimore or LA. and your solutions only will disarm potential victims.

That police chief bit is the most bizarre piece I’ve ever read. Not at all factual.

First that AWB did not stop production or sale of assault weapons to the public. Take the AR-15 as an example.

First, the sale of AR-15s was never banned. The assault weapons ban of 1994 banned the sale of AR-15s with threaded barrels/flash mitigation devices, bayonet lugs, and telescoping stocks. None of these features affect the caliber (cartridge), rate of fire, or terminal ballistics of the weapon.

In 1992 about 100,000 new manufacture AR-15s were purchased. In 1994, the year the ban went into effect, that rose to 200,000. In 1996, because production of the new models without bayonet lugs and flash hiders wasn’t ramped up yet only 70,000 were sold that year. But every year after, sales of newly manufactured AR-15s increased substantially, and by 2004 there were three times as many being purchased as before the ban. So during the so called ban, sales of AR-15s more than TRIPLED.

Even the Violence Policy Center knows more than your linked clown.

    https://www.hoplofobia.info/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/2004-Land-of-Post-Ban-Assault-Weapons.pdf

So your moron in the link claims assault weapons crimes fell during the ban. But sales of the most common assault weapons increased substantially during the ban. Sales of AR-15s TRIPLED. So your link is actually making the claim MORE GUNS EQUALS LESS CRIME.

    SMH.

Some more disinformation from your link—it makes this claim:

Assault weapons are designed to be fired from the shoulder. Police are trained to shoot AR-15s and other assault rifle types FROM THE SHOULDER. No military, law enforcement or civilian training organization teaches hip firing.

The next disinformation from your link.

Silencers have been highly regulated by the ATF since the 1930’s. They have required a full background check, fingerprinting, passport style photograph, notification of local LE, and a $200 tax stamp to own since 1934. . No assault weapons “banned” in 1994 had silencers. That’s preposterous.

Flash suppressors do not have any effect on lethality. They decrease flash signature so if you are firing from a tree line at night the enemy has a harder time locating you. They also protect the night vision a bit of a shooter in the dark. Neither of these applications have any relevance to criminal use of these weapons.

Adjustable stocks are designed for two reasons. To make rifles/carbines “fit” users with different arm lengths and to make them a little easier to deploy out of vehicles. All rifles/carbines were already mandated by law to be no less than 26 inches in overall length with adjustable stock at its shortest position and have barrels no less than 16 inches. The conceal-ability of these weapons was not affected AT ALL by the 1994 law.

Bayonets are not used in crimes. There is one documented attempted bayoneting in 2004, but nobody was harmed. Banning bayonet lugs in 1994 was purely based on fantasy.

Pistol grips neither make firearms more lethal nor more concealable.

The author of the linked piece is either profoundly ignorant or extraordinarily dishonest, or both.

And yet, that's the only way we get to a total of 636 mass shootings in one year.

Funny how the left always demand action after every mass shooting and want us to take action and get serious and yet they totally refuse to even talk about people control. All they want is gun control. The problem will never be solved if the left refuse to talk about anything other than gun control. They always claim that we need to pass "common sense" gun control legislation but in just about every mass shooting, the "common sense" gun control legislation they propose would not have stopped most of the mass shootings. And yet we continue letting dangerous people out, sometimes with no bail. And why the left stupidly think that we can keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people running around loose is beyond me. As long as these people are running around they will get guns. And, further, why do lefties think that if we banned assault weapons, the mass shooting would not have happened? That's ridiculous.

Seems that the first step is to stop blaming the eft or right......... and deal with it as a PEOPLE / guns safety problem.

VPC lies when they call those semi autos "assault rifles". then again VPC is one of the most dishonest of the anti gun groups-and that takes some doing.

right you are-the grifter group known as "sandy hook promise" has been demanding expanded background checks due to Adam Lanza murdering more than 2 dozen unprotected children and school employees,. Lanza used a gun that his mother legally bought after a background check registration, and waiting period in CT-he murdered her, stole the rifle and shot a bunch of children fatally. How a background check expansion would have changed that is a puzzler.

There have been MANY offers and suggestions of actual real solutions...but people insistent on gun bans dont want to hear them.

That's the case with just about every shooting. None of the "common sense" gun control proposals that democrats talk about would have prevented the shootings they complain about. For the sake of argument, if we had passed every single one of their "common sense" gun control proposals, most all of these shootings would have still happened. So, I don't understand the mentality that we have to pass legislation that we already know will not help. And, to think that if we had banned assault rifles then that particular shooting would have never happened is totally absurd. And, thinking that we can let known dangerous people run around loose and keep guns out of their hands is also totally absurd.

So you think we should get rid of illegal immigrants and minorities?
