doubt that will deter many since most mass shooters intend to die--what works is having a potential victim take out the mass shooter as soon as possible. Gun free zones are usually bereft of anyone who can do that when an active shooter attacks

It does not seem to matter........as gun violence & deaths is now entrenched in this culture...........

It is now just part of daily living in this country.

One cannot even make a mistake and enter the wrong driveway......without being shot.

Wild west....alive, and probably worse than what the original one was like.....due to "better" weapons and easy availability of same.
In reality......there should be a psychological test of everyone that wants to buy a weapon.( and everyone that owns one. This should be part of procedure for obtaining a weapon......... along with testing of applicants skills at handling a weapon. their knowledge of safety rules and the law as it applies to owning a weapon.

There are ,more standards and skill testing when applying for a drivers licence than a lethal weapon.


There is noting rational about the situation.......... and the slogan of 'it's my right"........... does not wash........as it is a choice..

By relying on "it is my right" to own an weapon.......the implicit message is " I have the right to kill". ( the word "defend" is just sugar coating it.)

This country has a psychological dependency on weapons..........and over reliance on them...... because they are expedient.......and seem to fill that MACHO status.....and again....because they are so easily available....... and now saturate the nation..
