I am glad to hear he is being charged. That kind of stunt is moronic no matter what side of the aisle you're from. He should also be censured by Congress and if the politicians had any integrity, they would vote for it regardless of their party.

What makes Bowman think the charges will be dropped? Is he special or something?

Yes... completely special, compared to the MAGA ilk

He's pleading guility to his "crime", will pay the fine, and the charges will be dropped in 3 months (assuming he hasn't turned into a serial fire-alarm puller). Dumbass thing to do....

Guilty plea a concept I know you are unfamiliar with, until backed into a corner as a last resort on the eve of trial.

Maybe Comer can still open an investigation and tie this to Joe Biden somehow???

I mean you admit it in your own post...the only reason he is going to be so cooperative is because he knows he is getting a slap on the wrist.

Yet you portray it as some moral high ground lol.

He’s innocent and only pleading guilt to save on legal fees. It’s a witch hunt! Political prosecution!

Don't forget clear cut election interference... Bowman has already announced he's running to keep his seat in 2024.

Also, he's already announced for 2026, so he's crime-immune through then...

I mean when you consider black people have free reign to loot riot and mug and Democrats couldn’t care less, I’d say a misdemeanor is egregiously harsh, to the point of clear racism

Objectively false. Egoboy had been repeating Steve N's allegation, that Brown considered himself "special," in a facetious fashion. The only way that admitting guilt and accepting responsibility for his "dumbass thing to do," as Egoboy had phrased it-- high praise, in your book?-- could be thought of as any moral "high ground," would be in relation to the moral pit, in which have sat a number of Republicans, who have not been willing to take their lumps, but rather have been maintaining their innocence, up until their trials have been about to start, and then have copped their own pleas-- which have been significantly greater reductions from their original RICO election interference charges, than was Brown's sentence a discount from the typical sentence for pulling a fire alarm.

Wait a second! Now recalling several Republican members' responses to these GOP party officials' plea bargains, I have to ask--
@Egoboy , do you think this means that Brown got this "sweetheart deal," because the case against him was baseless, so falling apart, and the prosecutor was just trying to save face?

I think they're trying to get Bowman (not Brown) to flip on the crew that's been going around DC pulling fire alarms...

Actually, I think this is our American justice system in action. I assume Bowman was treated like anybody else intentionally pulling a fire alarm. I really only cared about this story because I heard some in the MAGA house wanted to censure him and there was talk about a House investigation of some sort..... 2 ginormous overreactions..

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and view the above as political parody. But if not, a picture is worth a thousand words. If intended as parody, at least you were a little more subtile than one or two other posters which is a good thing. Parody should be subtile to be effective.

He's not going to be tied to Biden. Much worse.
He's a New York Congressman from the 16th district which of course Hillary also represented. You don't think those two met up one day at at some democrat fund raiser? You don't think a photo exists tieing this criminal to the Clinton Crime Family?

He’s just got his arm out. Besides it’s not even illegal. Even if it is, everyone does if. Even if they don’t, nobody is charged for it. Even if they are, it’s just to Interfere with his election. Why didn’t security stop him? It’s really their fault.

Wow, just wow. It’s not even illegal and everyone does it? When was the last time you did it?

Isn't a plea deal supposed to be contingent upon the DOJ getting something in return? What does the government get from this deal? Obstruction of congressional proceedings is a felony under federal law 18 U.S.C. Why should he expect to get off with no jail time after the way so many J-6ers were treated?

    :roflol:
    Hillary was a SENATOR!
So, by that logic, technically Hillary "also represented" EVERY Congressional District in NY State (including the seats held by Republicans)...
Quite a "web of crime" there...:roflol::bored:
And, back to.Bowman, obviously he is going to avoid jail time..

Joe Biden has set up a shell company to launder the substantial bribe from a very wealthy Boman. Joe's has modeled the shell co identical to the multiple Trump/Kushner shells...

This response is purely political. Pulling a false fair alarm is a serious offense. It places people in danger from the crowd control perspective. You have heard of people who have been injured or killed in stampedes, haven’t you? It also dangerous because of the “little boy who cried wolf” syndrome.

Last night I didn’t get to see the end the end of a play, perhaps because some joker pulled a fire alarm part way through the second act. False alarms are serious business.

But why? He shouldn't qualify for a plea deal unless he has something to offer the justice department in return. What he did was a felony, right?
