Yep, the only reason she didn't resign was to give Schiff the seat. He must be the angriest man in America today. All those hopes and dreams dashed on the shores of diversity.

Reminds me. There was a certain woman in 2002 that was 77 years old. Her father was not only still alive, but he was a sitting U.S. Senator.
I'm talking of course about Strom Thurmond. It would be very hard to displace him from the perch of being the poster child for term limits, but the last few photos of Feinstein would certainly have given him a run for his money.

Schiff should have a cell in San Quentin, not a seat in the Senate. The man is liar who can do nothing but destroy. He is far worse than useless. I wish we could send him to Russia to advise Putin. That's more like his kind of leader.

    So WHAT?
He plans on apponting a Black Woman as a "Caretaker Senator" (who won't run in 2024).
Obviously, appointing Lee is completely out of the question b/c he would be putting his finger on the scale in the '24 Senate Primary...

    WHY would Schiff be "angry"?
As of now, Schiff is the heavy favorite to Win the Seat in '24....

She's also not from California, which might tend to take her out of the running...

I'm reading the polling is tied between Schiff and Katie Porter... .either would be a solid addition to the US Senate, but Schiff would piss MAGA's off more, so I kinda have to root for him

RIP Senator Feinstein. Visually, she was like 'Bernie's Lost Weekend' in her last year in office. I would have liked to have remembered not like that. Shame on the partisan pukes who convinced themselves that she was still capable of doing her job.

yeah they can find gay marriage and abortion in the bill of rights but not gun ownership. Feinswine was one of the worst when it came to disrespect of the bill of rights.

It's not a neutral opinion. How many conservatives have called for Mitch McConnel to resign strictly due to his age? Very few. Trump is only 3 years younger than Biden, yet no one is asking him to step down strictly for aging despite his political gaffes that are becoming more frequent. In both GOP examples, the two examples have been called for other political or legal reasons to step down, but not for aging alone. Aging is simply the next excuse the far right uses in hopes they can win that seat in some fantasy reality of theirs.

If she is in Heaven and she is a Christian, it will be based on her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not what she did or didn't do on this Earth.

Ahhhh but your point was directed at me, and it was in error. I'm all in for age limited and in the case of McConnel, absolutely, he should be retired..

So, are you going to vote for biden and correct me if I'm in error, but did you call for Fienstien removal???

Yah I don’t see a white guy being handed that job, although I wouldn’t mind my congressman, Swallwell getting the gig.

Conservatives in power cannot call for old man McConnel to retire because he would cut their political gonads off. This is the big problem with powerful old codgers who refuse to face facts.

Many of them have same fear about Trump. He's far nastier than McConnel is and would go through with his threats even if it hurt his second term as president.

Damn, I want them both..... I mean I really really want them both! So this is how this works. Schiff serves and votes Mondays Wednesdays and every other Friday. Porter serves and votes Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday.

    Schiff Committee Assignments:Judiciary; Rules and Administration;
Porter Committee Assignments:Banking Housing and Human Affairs; Finance

Is that not perfect to accentuate their respective strengths and expertise so that we now have the perfect Senator covering 5 days a week?

There may be a little snafu in the presumptive definition of 'United States Senator' in the US and California State Constitutions and the California State Democratic Party Charter. But I will work on it.
