They are all rare occurrences. Per the Washington Post database, in 2020. 18 unarmed black people were killed by police, and 24 unarmed white people. So no, Floyd's death isn't part of a "pattern of police homicides of unarmed suspects."

Derek Chauvin was guilty of manslaughter and or negligent homicide. There is no way you can convince me he woke up that morning wanting to kill a black person. I also do not believe that he knew his actions were causing Floyd's death. He was a moron oblivious to what was happening.

There are no statistics that will show that. We know more about them because of the media and the desire to manipulate incidents for political purposes.
