    Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is vowing to begin dispensing Regeneron monoclonal antibodies - the treatment given to President Donald Trump when he had the coronavirus - through mobile clinics amid a record-breaking stretch of new cases and hospitalizations that have ravaged the state



    So this moron thinks that he can dispense a prescription medication that is administered via IV using mobile clinics? Really? Seems he knows how badly he has ****ed his state and is trying to save face.

    Most of it is a self-inflicted wound, I have no sympathy for him at all. And making stupid statements like this does not help him or the residents of the state. Regeneron is an IV treatment that has to be carefully monitored and has a small window of opportunity based on when they contracted COVID.

    Doesn't that sound ridiculous? Regeneron antibody treatment is a prescription medication. Nobody can just walk up and tell a pharmacist they want it. I and several people I know that contracted COVID, all of us asymptomatic or mild cases, weren't even admitted to a hospital. We had to quarantine as instructed by our state Health Department.

    DeSantis is painting himself into a hole he won't be able to escape. I understand he is trying to woo Trump supporters to back him for a presidential run, but, the REALITY (all of us rational people know) is Trump lost re-election for a valid reason - his COVID response. Why DeSantis thinks making the same mistakes can win it for him is something only he knows because that only makes sense in his head.

    DeSantis has found himself in a double catch-22 with Trump and his own reelection.

    Whether he thinks he can win either the White House or reelection with this strategy may be secondary to his survival instinct; specifically, the fear reflex. It's catch-22 either way.

    If DeSantis plays mini-Trump, he stays safe with the Trump base. But in doing so, he risks losing because of covid mismanagement. If he follows the science, Trump throws him under the bus, and he has a primary fight on his hands.

    Who cares what kind of treatment it is, as long as it's a viable treatment. The real problem has been the 'vaccine or bust' attitude, putting people into quarters.
