They are banned aka it is illegal for public schools to use them because they say they contain "forbidden topics". A total of 41% books were banned, and at some grades it was up to 71%.

I already saw it. These books were banned aka they will not be allowed to be used un public schools. If a library had a rule saying that certain books are not allowed, then that is a ban (and yes, school libraries are targeted by the new bans too). They will be asked to remove certain books, which means those books are banned.

 

And the right wingers quoted say that's because teachers are pedophiles.

This is why homophobes love DeSantis fascist bill.

It's SPECIFIC to gay people. If everybody where heterosexual, "gender" and "gender identity" would be the same, and there would be no need for the second term. And right-wing fascists actually believe that they can stop "The Gay" if they can get to convince children that gay people don't exist.

Here's the skinny of it. DO NOT TALK ABOUT SEXUAL ORIENTATION to K-3. Got it? If that is so hard for some, then they need to not become teachers. We don't need them.

 

Don't let kids know that being gay is normal, and don't let kids know that black people have the same rights as white people. That's should make the job of homophobes and white supremacists easier in the future.
