Do gays really want to be equal?

    The hate crime laws do not single out gays. They cover ANY AND ALL crimes that are commited because a a person's race, sexual orientation, religion, ect......A straight person being murdered by gays because he was gay would recieve the exact same treatment, under these laws, as a gay person being murdered because he was gay.

    Yet, my opinion certainly isn't derived merely from things I've imagined. So, whether you agree with me or not for whatever reasons, I will FIGHT your views on this (unless we agree). So, it is what it is.

    Not exactly dixon; things I have observed and experienced in reality (and education), inform my decision to believe/think the things that I do. I'm not disagreeing with and fighting you for nothing. You think that is the case, but you are very incorrect if you think that is so.

    See the above. And note, this fight I and others are waging for EQUAL rights... doesn't require and is NOT seeking permission of those who oppose it. You should accept that reality.

    No, you are mistaken to a fairly high degree. I any case, you can spend your time analyzing what you think makes me tick, while I pursue the very EQUALITY that you and others would deny all who are homosexual. Yes, play your petty and narrow-minded game... but I'm looking for ANYTHING effective to fight the effects of views like yours. If it takes the equivalent of an intellectual, legal or political 2x4 slamming against your head... then so be it.

    How can anyone describe a union of two people of the same sex as marriage? It's an oxymoron, or at best an attempt at an artifical manipulation of the word marriage, and a push for an increase in the handout largesse from the overwhelmed taxpayer to an extremely vociferous, minority, vested interest group.

    Weve been over this. Marriage between two people of the same sex creates no parental rights or obligations in children. Married lesbian mother dies, the biological father gets custody. Un married lesbian mother dies, biological father gets custody. Her lover or her wife, neither have ANY legal rights or obligations regarding the child.
