Nitpicking history with stats that favor your narrative is not going to win any awards. Just useless stats on your end there. And, I agree with eh Drag Queen analogy as they make great clown versions of women and I find that entertaining and have no issues laughing at their shows as well. I am sure kids do as well.

Because clergy has an important place in our society. Drag Queens do not.
Clergy work for the church, which provides masses of people with spiritual guidance.
If Drag Queens amuse you, fine. Lots of things, like porn, amuse adults but we draw a line about what we want children around or not. That's why we have, for instance, a movie ratings system.

We do stand our ground on things. This would be one of them.
The guy in this picture is not "natural". He has to make some effort to look this way. And the way he looks deviates so much from our norms, I don't want him around kids.
I would write that I infer from this persons appearance, that he hates me. He hates my culture. He wants to be as perverse and evil as possible and let me know, there's nothing I can do about it.
I think people are coming around on the issue and now expressing proper outrage and push back.

This makes me think you must have conniption fits around cons with all their cosplayers. If you are having a problem with men wearing makeup hose, high heels and wigs....I've got some really bad news for you about the Founding Fathers. As far as how one dresses being evil, remember at one point we had people claiming that women in pants and owning businesses were sinful and evil. Amazing how these things can change over time, and have in fact been a part of human history repeated over and over. And yes, if your culture limits how one can express themselves, then I hate your culture as well, along with a majority of the country who would rather have that freedom to choose their expression than have someone tell them what it is to be.

Gay? No. Trans? Likely. It's a ****ed up mental disorder.

Not so sure about the Bronies, but for the most part, creation conventions and cosplayers are not getting a sexual charge out of dressing like their favorite characters. I can't write the same for trannies and drag queens. There is some debate about it but I figure the whole thing is very sexual and arousing for them.
As for your claim that the majority of the country is pro trans, drag queens, trannies? I wouldn't be so sure about that. Another thread in this forum was very specifically about the shifting tide on this issue. I think your position is an odd minority position at this point and I think opposition is going to continue to grow.

I don't know if many are "pro", but everyone knows the pseudo-con movement is totally obsessed with them and insist everyone must be either "pro" or "against", which is textbook divide-and-conquer manipulation tactic. Most people know that only 0.6% of the population are tran, and really don't give a rip, because they have other priorities. This is the weirdest priority I have seen in any election cycle in my lifetime, which tends to indicate people don't have much to complain about. Commies, terrorists, economic meltdown of 2008 etc were real, while this thing is almost totally manufactured and practically irrelevant to most people.

So because they profiteer from the mentally weak and offer “guidance” you believe them raping children should be excused but a group you deem unimportant should not be excused even though they are not raping children?

This is why I say organized religion is a plague upon the Earth. It allows normally good people to believe some really ****ed up things.

You are trying to state that you believe a person wearing a stylized version of the opposite sex’s clothing is akin to pornography.

    Which is absurd

And some cultures think that costumes are deviant. Others think that women not dressed in hijabs is deviant. They are free to those positions.

You are trying to ban freedom of speech and freedom of expression based on personal animus.

No one cares about you or your culture enough to hate it.

As to people coming around, the screaming vocal minority have found their new temporary outrage machine. Previously it was gay people getting married.

Your post has summed up this isn’t legitimate as you have made excuses for pedophile priests but are calling for bans of groups just because you don’t like them.

I think the American people are very libertarian (I am, so maybe that colors my perspective on this). I think most people are fine, for instance, with tran sexuals. Do as you like, as long as you stay away from children and don't cheat at sports. Sadly, this seems like a tall order.

    Numbered for ease of response:
    1) Got you. People of faith are weak minded and we should shut down the church because some of them were criminals. Wanting only the actual criminals to pay for their crimes = being pro child rape. Absurd and outrageous. Shame on you for making that statement.
    2) Yes, and it isn't absurd. A guy dressed like a cartoon version of a woman for sexual thrills, as far as I'm concerned, may as well be beating off. Don't do that in front of kids.
    3) Freedom of speech and expression are not absolute. You are metaphorically speaking, encouraging conduct that scares the horses. Even libertarians oppose doing that.

I have never said the church should be shut down. I do think they should face massive consequences for their actions instead of it being brushed under the rug. The only one talking about shutting anything down is you.
So now you are assuming that them dressing up is a sexual thrill and taking that assumption to ban them from being around children while ignoring the fact that clergy have a child rape issue and not wanting to ban them?

I am sure the irony escapes you

Drag queens don’t scare anyone but the perpetually outraged.

You were sure as heck implying it should be shut down and that anyone that only want people that actually did criminal things, including covering up known crimes, rather than all of them, supports child rape. Absurd, outrageous and shameful.
The only one talking about ignoring crime is you. I'm not even implying it.
Of course the vast majority of Americans object to some things the drag queens do. The vast majority of Americans see them as deviants. But they're not trying to make it illegal to engage in adult behavior. Just keep it away from the kids. Aggravating that this, for some reason, seems to be very tall order for them.

Anyone that covers up child rape is as guilty as the person committing it. It’s disturbing that you believe otherwise

    Doesn’t seem that way
Again, you are advocating that some groups be barred from public locations not because of their actions but because you find that person deviant.

Should we start mandating hijabs so Muslim men are not offended? Just saying “most people find it deviant” isn’t a valid reason.

    1) I assume that is an innocent mistake on your part that you misread my statement calling those that cover up a crime criminals too:

    2) Not the group. Say you're a drag queen. But you also own male, business casual clothes. I support the right of public spaces to have dress codes (including a hijab if that is what our culture insists upon). So, that drag queen can even do story hour. Just dress appropriately which in this case would be male, business casual clothing.

It was, apologies for that. I agree

Gendered clothing is losing issue even with the current ultra conservative SCOTUS.

I disagree that society should be able to demand a certain style of dress or religious clothing even if the majority wants it outside of it being too revealing or vulgar. Private businesses should be able to but not taxpayer provided facilities.

If there is enough interest for there to be drag queen story hours and those performers have been background checked and the events bring in families then I have no issue with it. If you don’t like it don’t have your child go but it should always be option.

I don’t think many things should be banned

We'll see about the Constitutionality question. One thing Drag Queens (and fat people) are fighting for is the right to have themselves thought to be a protected gender identity. If they win, you could have a point.
The problem with the "if you don't like it" position is that wealthier people can send their kids to private schools or home teach. Not really an option for the poor.
Our public education system is supposed to serve them too. We saw this happen in Boston when poor white kids were bussed to other communities where their education suffered and they were in literal danger from a hostile non-white majority there. Now poor kids have to sit through drag queen story hour but not rich kids? We can hope that won't happen.

Drag is just clothing — I don’t see how it could be constitutionally protected

I don’t think they should hold these events in public school. I am talking about places like libraries or places where it is voluntary.

Given that it was not all that long ago, historically speaking, that any woman's leg showing much above the ankle was too revealing and vulgar, how exactly would we go about enforcing this.

So let me make sure I understand this. A private business should be able to have a dress code that forces women to wear hajibs or burkkas, or men to wear skirts and heels, at least while on the clock?

I am speaking of shirts with cuss words or sexually explicit material on them. That isn’t appropriate for a public event with children.

I think most business should have their own discretion until it intersects with law, especially very small companies. If people don’t like it then they are free to leave.

When is it a "right" for a man to masquerade as a women and visa versa? This didn't even used to be a "thing" until this Marxist Cultural Revolution became emboldened.

I believe, based on evidence, that church leaders molest children at higher rates than any other group.
