A propaganda bomb was dropped on Donetsk.
    translation:

Residents of the city of Donetsk!
The Armed Forces of Ukraine are launching an operation to liberate the occupied territories and destroy pro-Russian militants and their accomplices.
In the coming hours, a powerful blow from all types of weapons will be dealt to the administrative military facilities of the terrorists in Donetsk.
In order to avoid losses among the civilian population, we ask you to leave the city and take refuge in the basement.
All armed formations of terrorists and their command will be destroyed. Peaceful citizens who did not actively cooperate with the traitors are not in danger. The hour of release is near.
    Glory to Ukraine!
    Combined Forces Command.

West promised not to expand NATO – Der Spiegel

    https://www.rt.com/news/549921-nato-expansion-russia-document/

This is a primary bone of contention with Russia ...... the expansion of NATO eastward.

The article is on RT (cue the RT bashing), but the original source is Der Spiegel. A link to the original article is provided but it's behind a paywall. However, if one clicks on the link to Der Spiegel, the headline is available to anyone.

Russia provides one quarter of Europe's energy now. We in Australia know how this game works because
we relied so heavily upon China for our trade. All we did was support an inquiry into the Covid origins, and
join the 'Quad' of four nations who want open seas in the Indo Pacific (something devised by England BTW)
Our trade was slashed, even our coal ships were left stranded, unable to leave or disembark for months off
the Chinese coast. But like Lithuania we refuse to bend. Watch how Germany bends to Russia. Fun watching
    it, actually.

The issue isn't whether Putin will attack yet another country, it's Putin's intimidation - even with troop ships
and medics. But if Putin withdraws his forces, are you still going to be on this forum? I accept the argument
    that it has already started.

Well, I’m still interested here, I’m looking at people’s opinion about Russia ... a lot of nonsense, especially from former Ukrainians :)

There are no messages about the movement of troops in the info-space. For the last two days, mutual provocations in the Donbas have taken up all the traffic.

Regarding intimidation: USA Constantly threatens and intimidates everyone. That is her policy.
Russia should not be considered soft and fluffy. Russia also has teeth, and I sincerely regret that we rarely show them. On the other hand, I am proud that Russia does not behave like America, but adheres to principles and rules. It is a pity that the West considers this weakness and indecision.

are you completely stupid? There is also a link on the top leading to the wall from where I took it. I'm not drawing conclusions - just sharing information.
I perfectly understand that anyone could print it and photograph it - even me. But I'm too lazy to do it for free.

I don't know what Putin thinks. I am not a telepath - like all the others who claim to know his thoughts. :)

I still hold the opinion that there is not and never was a "power build-up on the border." These are all lies of the Western media. Three months have passed, and no one has handed over new photographs of tank columns and hundreds of thousands of soldiers standing along the border. It's hard to photograph
    what is not.

It's not even necessary. Remember Kazakhstan. How quickly the CSTO forces restored order, although no one kept troops on the border with Kazakhstan.

Now, after the aggravation of the conflict, the reserve troops - not employed in the Exercises in Belarus, are most likely put on high alert.

But in ordinary life this does not manifest itself in any way. Tanks do not drive through the streets,
and there is no propaganda in the Russian media that raises the morale of citizens and prepares them for war.

There is simply no reason for Russia to invade Ukraine.

Washington has been trying to draw Russia into a war in Ukraine since 2014 with the hope of enveloping them in a quagmire like in Afghanistan. Putin knows this, that's why he has been bending over backwards to avoid it. Even now, he's taking in the residents of the 2 Republics rather than invade Ukraine.

What the US is doing with their propaganda and quest for war, is destroying Ukraine and it's cracking up Zalentsky. All the billionaires are running out, and even businesses are leaving. He's becoming very unstable from the pressure.

Thank you for posting it Woogs. I saw the article that proved Nato did promise Russia that it wouldn't advance into Eastern Europe - even though I knew it from Dr. Paul Craig Roberts who was an economic advisor to Ronald Reagan.

Roberts was furious that Clinton and Bush would dishonor James Baker's good name, since he did tell Gorbachev that Nato wouldn't move even one inch forward in Eastern Europe.

This is why Vladimir Putin said that Russia has been deceived over and over again.

If America behaved like Russia it would have have occupied Mexico and massed troops, tanks and artillary on the
Canadian border to defend American nationals living in Canada.

Putin has demanded that Finland and Swedend tell him whether they are going to join NATO.
But in relation to the troops he said weren't on the border - he said he has every right to do as he wishes with his
    troops within his own borders.

... Georgia, Donbas, Crimea, Belarous and now Ukraine. Who's next? The bet is on the Baltics. I wonder if he will
liberate Poland, after all, there are Russian nationals there too.

And what's wrong? when a man with a gun comes up to you, is it a crime or an act of aggression to ask him if he is going to shoot you?... even if you have your gun in your pocket.
why do you keep repeating stupid things and blaming Russia for things it didn't do?

Your post is comical. In your post, you described how China intimidated Australia with restrictions and you now state Russia will do the same to Ukraine with no proof...Where's your proof that Russia will attack Ukraine with no provocation?

Can't you see the possibility that Ukraine (and the US) are provoking Russia??

Sure, I can see conventionally armed* Ukraine, with 150,000 soldiers, suddenly attacking nuclear
armed Russia which has 1,000,000 soldiers and a few thousand miles of strategic depth.
And I can see America joining in this war - sending troops to Ukraine and having her cities wiped
    out. Sure.

    * Ukraine offered to surrender her nuclear weapons in a guarantee that Russia would not attack.
Russia has already attacked Ukraine and now has about quarter of its entire armed forces on the
    Ukraine border, threatening her again.

Crimea seceded due to the aggression of Ukraine... The Parliament of Crimea made such a decision in the absence of legitimate power in Kiev after the Maidan. Accession to Russia was agreed upon in a referendum of independent Crimea.

Donbass also declared independence after looking at the example of Crimea. But they had no legal authority to secede.
Russia did not recognize the independence of Donbass, and it was not possible to annex it to the territory of Russia. Donbass resists Ukrainian punishers on its own. Militias and volunteers protect the land. The Russian army is not there.
