Don't forget that this was practically predicted. The news was that Russian operatives were going in to set this sort of thing up, and not necessarily with the knowledge of the separatists in Donbas. The less they know about it and the less they are involved, the more plausibly it plays out since they are going to react in a genuine way to this sudden "attack." Then all Russia has to do is keep up the propaganda blaming Ukraine for it, and the only people who know the whole truth are the operatives and their higher-ups. You don't want too many people in on a conspiracy or it is likely to be exposed.

The left-right division and cabse5's attitude certainly does nothing for US strength. That is why Russia chose to get involved in our politics and foment just that kind of division in the first place.

Once we devolve to the point where irrelevant internal bickering prevents us from defending external threats, the experiment will have failed.

There is ZERO chance that Ukraine is going to inexplicably launch a chemical attack on Donetsk. ZERO.

Stop the projection. We did enough of those false flag photo ops in Syria with Washington's support of the head choppers. I doubt Putin would ever lower himself to Washington's level.

 

Ukraine can't wait to take back Donetsk and Lugansk by force, or they would agree to the Minsk II agreement. Problem is they want the land and wealth of the area, but not its inhabitants - so the only alternative is to ethnically cleanse and kill off its inhabitants.

In his delusions, Zalensky believes they will get back Crimea as well, even though it's part of Russia and almost everyone's Russian. And here I thought according to the Hague people have a right to their own self-determination.
