    Yes because shootings only happen in the USA.

    Did you realize that if it wasn't for gang violence there would be very few shootings in the USA.

    Nobody is going to work that out as long as the only attention is in the immediate aftermath of incidents and focused on spinning them for petty politics.

    The causes of such shootings will typically be in the months or years prior to them happening and will involve a vast range and combination of individual, societal, legal and medical factors. Too few people care to look in to any of that because it is complicated, expensive and there is no immediate financial or political gain to be had.

    you seem to pretend that if the constitution doesn't ban something, then it should happen. the constitution doesn't ban gun owners engaging in violence against harassers. But that is illegal nonetheless. pushing laws for the purpose of harassment-which is clearly what motivates most gun banners, is improper as well

    so what happens say if Rhode Island bans the possession of currently legally owned magazines for semi auto firearms. Criminals are already banned from owning any firearm-including ANY that accept said magazines. who has been harassed by such a law

    That's the absolute truth. Look at the ATF banning braces on a pistol.

    Suddenly overnight you have an object that you purchased that was legal and now if you don't give it up or destroy it, you are suddenly a criminal.

    Gun control does not affect criminals because they do not obey the law.

    What it does do is serve to make criminals out of otherwise law-abiding citizens who are having their rights infringed by their government

    That isn't accurate because...

    1. The definition of a mass shooting has changed since 2004.

    2. The population has added about 50 million people since 2004.

    Feel free to show a 400% increase since 2004, using the FBI's definition of a mass murder: 4+ people killed in one place (assuming you meant to use a greater than symbol rather than a less than symbol).

    Its not a pink elephant. Everyone knows about gang violence, and most say 'good riddance' when a drug dealer kills another drug dealer. However when there is a firefight and 7 bystanders are shot then its a bigger story for the obvious reasons.

    It never takes long for you to make a thread about blacks, no matter what the topic was.

    Yes, because 0.1% of Americans are Amish, and when they settle their scores the bodies are buried behind the barn and no one knows they ever even existed.

    But the pink elephant says most victims are armed criminals, like rival gang members.

    This shooter targeted people he knew.

    PS About 200 gun stores are robbed every year. Its a juicy target, because guns can be sold.

    I am guessing the overwhelming majority of those are not robbed at gunpoint. Those are probably burglaries.
