I am sure they will take this as seriously as Obama did the deport Justin Bieber one (and online petitions are largely a way for them to get your information for their mailing lists and the total information on voters databases)

They will vote the will of the people, in their State. I'd like to see more states award their Electoral College votes by Congressional District. Then rather than the election being the sum of 53 groups the College would be the sum of 488 groups. It would give third parties a much greater opportunity and any state is free to reform their system anytime they want to, as Nebraska and Maine have already done.

Donald Trump refuses to allow any MSM reporters on his plane, so how can they know who Trump has met with and who he hasn't met with? Let me educate you about the MSM. They are owned in Europe by the same 6 corporations that own the main stream medias in the US... so you're getting the same propaganda and lies, only worse.

Now a little logic, do you really believe a president elect who has to form a new government for the most powerful nation on earth is going to be spending his time with lobbyists from nations and corporations that he has never accepted any favors from? You have to be kidding?

It's depraved to say the Electoral College should be abolished? Not that this election should be vacated but that we should change it for the rest.

I'm willing to even say that maybe we should just change it to district by district for the votes, which I think the States can do on their own.

How is that depraved? How is it immoral and despicable to guarantee that thousands of people won't be disenfranchised every close election you have?

    No they aren't.
But who cares in this post-truth society.

We will built our armies and we will prepare for war. We will take all Trump statements as lies because we know they are and we will wait for inevitable Chamberlain moment when Trump and Putin sell out Europe.

I agree that the Electoral College system needs to be changed. I understand why it exists, but I am still very uneasy whenever the popular vote and the E.C. votes do not roughly match up. It . . . feels . . . wrong.

So we should choose a system that disenfranchises 10s of millions and 3/4 of the states in the Union?

Conceptually I agree with you, but I would rather see the states divided in electoral districts that cannot encompass a whole congressional district to blunt the edge of gerrymandering. If you gerrymander for congress, you may be screwing yourself on POTUS. My current CD is something like 10+K sq. miles. It has gotten skinnier and longer with every redistricting.

If the electoral college were going to be removed, it would have to be done in the future and not have any effect on this election.

However, it's a bad idea regardless.

Trump lost Virginia, I wonder why?

Gov. Terry McAuliffe, (a friend of Hillary's) has illegally granted voting rights to 60,000 convicted felons in the key swing state of Virginia, a move that could give Hillary Clinton a victory in that stateĀ—

    1. The election wasn't close. Trump won by 40 electoral votes. 2. Trump swept ALL key swing states even up north 3. Perhaps you havnt looked at our electoral map but on a state by state level? It went red by a 75% margin. 4. How is it moral to disenfranchise an entire republic of 50 states because the Soros controlled MSM, Activists and this petition can't accept losing? Simply because they obtained a 200k majority out of 120 million? 5. This thread and the OP are suggesting that it's ok for the electors for each state on Dec 19th do anything other than what the citizens of their state voted for.

The electoral college as it stands now protects all of America from just what we see here. A few high population coastal urban cities full of left OR right wing radicals that don't have an ideology that appeals to all
    of us all stealing control

That attempt and this petition good sir is the definition of depravity

Please stop by if you need any further enlightenment on the subject matter at hand

There is one thing that Washington fears, and that is unity between Russia and Europe, so when they saw that happening they accused Putin of shooting down the airliner when they knew it was Ukraine, and the Europeans fell for it.

Unity between Europe and Russia? What?

Sure... Post-truth society and all that.

I am lucky... I have a wonderful house in Sicily and Portugal. I think the world doesn't need anyone who likes the truth anymore.

I think I will just move and shut off from this insanity. I can't take all this bull(*)(*)(*)(*) anymore.

ballads are still being counted, it's possible that Trump will win the popular vote. Plus when you consider all the dead people and illegals that voted for Hillary he probably already has the popular vote among legitimate voters!

    I signed.

The whole purpose of having a EC is to protect the nation from con men and charlatans and unqualified people.

If there was ever a justified time for the EC to act is now, to reflect the will of the voters and protect the country from the charlatan and unqualified con man.

If not? Why bother with the whole charade?

The EC should do its job and protect the nation from an unqualified, pathological, mean spirited charlatan who is the president elect by fluke of historical anachronism. And elect the candidate the reflects the true will of the voters.

Otherwise, why are we even bothering with the charade.

The electorate already made a choice as per mandate of the US founders,
    Well, with Trumps deficiencies,
This country will be run by the brilliant minds of the state advisers like the CEA.

They will not. In my state, half the people voted for Clinton. Where are the electors representing our vote in the EC?

    - - - Updated - - -

Where is the mandate that says EC voters cannot vote in accordance with the voters?

This election is much closer than the Bush V Gore from 2000. Why can't you accept it? Replacing one with the other, will make the other crowd equally unhappy.

You should focus on reforming the electoral college so that voters in ANY State feel their vote matters. Right now, a Republican vote in Pennsylvania(for the most part) almost had no meaning. Same thing for a Democratic vote in West Virginia. A more plural system would be fairer for both sides.

Where does the Constitution say the EC cannot vote according to the will of the voters?

Also while my back is up! One second my soap box isn't high enough let me stick a phone book under it. OK now..

How lost and forlorn is the Democratic Party that they would even condone for a moment what is taking place with the MSM, rioters, and the obnoxious suggestion of this OP? The electoral college by definition as it stands now is everything the Left is supposed to stand for? That being acceptance of all regardless of differences of opinion, background, race, or creed? The electoral college and each states allotted votes counted toward the electing of our POTUS as it stands now ensures what you babble matters to you every day.

You have fallen far Left. Far indeed. Just rebrand after introspection, regroup and move on. Cast off Soros and the Clintons and talk straight to people.
