What did they think was going to happen? Did they really think guys were going to run right out and buy new trucks? A used 2009 Freightliner with 261,000 miles on it is near $70,000. I can't imagine what a brand new one costs. In this economy and with the price of Diesel, just not gonna happen.

Socialists never realize the unintended consequences, well mostly because they really don't care.

The sooner we get rid of Obama and his inept team in Washington, the better off everyone will become!

The EPA is a rogue entity, and they are out of control. I wish they could be abolished, as they are really (*)(*)(*)(*)ing things up!

They don't care because they were never taught to take responsibility for anything. They just whine and bitsch about everything, raise hell and call everybody names, and then wait for somebody else to fix the problem and pay for it, too. I've never seen it fail... it's too bad these badly-behaved, irresponsible children are allowed to vote....

Oh, and about inflation and the trucking industry, and the price of fuel? Ha! Diesel costs a fortune because of skyrocketing demand in both China and India, among other places. And, as they say, nearly everything in your life was brought to you in a TRUCK. But, sure, the hyperlibs will go right on telling us that inflation is no big concern. At least not so long as food/fuel don't even show up in the Core CPI! For a criminal, it's like being able to commit murder and not even have it reported... and for Obama? Hey -- Happy days are here again!

The CBO is suppose too give an estimate on regulation and their compliance cost
Which in the real world always cost 2 to 10 times more than estimated

Also another regulation for the trucking industry, Electronic On Board Recording Device
    EOBRS

Was scored by THE CBO TOO COST THE INDUSTRY AN ESTIMATED $1,000,000,000.00
so I wonder how much it will really cost in the real world

I really wonder when we migrate from complaining about this to actually doing something about this.

No need to eliminate them, tree huggers will go nuts. Just cut them back to their original 1970 funding level.

    Taxcutter says:
The US needs a Congress of Repeal. A Congress of Repeal passes nothing new beyond that needed for routine operations, but rather repeals the underlying authority for regulatory excess. This might mean repealing thousands of statutes.

So tell me what is Romney going to do about this? Just add to the problem with not repealing such laws but adding to them to make them more "Moderate Light Obama" crap.

I'm sure Romney will support this idea! LOL, useful idiots around here that support Romney or Santorum to me is a big part of the problem! I don't even see Romney ending Obamacare much or less other nuances as this! As far as I am concern any Romney supporter is just as big of a problem as Obama supporters.

The repeal of obamacare has ALREADY passed in the House. If Republicans take over the Senate as well, all Romney has to do is sign the repeal or ignore it, either way it gets repealed. Romney doesn't have to do a thing. If the repeal is placed on his desk, he MUST veto it or it becomes effective. He would NOT veto a repeal of obamacare.

    I agree.

No way, shape, or form can Romney NOT sign a repeal of ObamaCare.

    Or Dodd-Frank for that matter.

He'd be impeached by his own party.

EPA is nothing else as leftist weapon against the US working places. Almost everything written by this evil authority destroys US economy and benefits China. Not all companies are capable to purchase new trucks, therefore more and more companies will be bankrupt.

Does that mean that you agree with the worst piece of legislation ever passed in the history of the USA?
ALREADY, its funding is turning out to be a sham. Already the CBO say it will cost more than 2 times its original claims. Already it will not cover as many people as claimed. Already it is KNOWN by ALL that 'Keeping your plan,' and 'Keeping your Doctor,' are outright intentional LIES.
And it isn't even implemented yet.
    obamacare is pure trash.

It isn't even a health CARE bill, its a health INSURANCE bill. And the complaint by the great liar obama himself was that INSURANCE IS the problem. How does a LAW requiring everyone HAVE insurance CURE the insurance problem?

Or hopefully for you, did you mean that's why you won't vote for the incompetent idiot obama?
