I have been asked (when I was a teenager, what i was doing in an area, by an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) like Zimmerman, and the guy had a gun strapped to his leg. The guy had no authority, but i didn't jump him even though he followed me.

But yes, I have also confronted kids in why they were in a certain place, at a certain time. ...

And yes, tell me to gfm, and Martin could have too, but chose to jump Zimmerman.

So again, the person who escaladed the situation from legal to illegal (Martin) is the one responsible for any deaths that occur from said incident. ...even if it is their own death

Yeah, but if you jump me, only I can claim self defense. You could use syg, quite possibly, but by doing so, you woule be a hypocrit since you don't agree with syg laws, huh......

I don't necessarily stand by what juries decide, history proves that when it comes to black folks jury decision aren't always the right ones.

I didn't need to be there, it is a pattern we see over and over again. I have a 16yr old son and that could have easily been him some coward with a gun found "suspicious".

I don't recall anyone painting him as such, but what does that have to do with this kid just being allowed to walk back home from the store.

The failure of all this is a grown man murdering an unarmed teenager and being allowed to get away with it.

Your right the only fact in this story is that only one person is around to tell it.

    - - - Updated - - -

Zimmerman claims to have been suckerpunched, please tell us how you know that actually happened. Oh thats right you looked at the defense's video of the incident that had to be how it happened.

Well if I am the only one around to tell the story, then it would be hard for you to tell that I jumped you.

A whole lot of folks are hypocrites when it comes to the time they might spend 25yrs to life.

Good point, that sums that up.

You have NO evidence that Trayvon jumped Zimmerman other than Zimmerman's word.

Thats what is amazing about this whole case, none of you have any evidence that Trayvon jumped Zimmerman or escalated this situation at all. You take Zimmerman's word at face value and you paint an unarmed kid as a "thug" to justify Zimmerman murdering him. The fact remains that Zimmerman escalated this situation the minute he jumped out of his truck in pursuit of Trayvon.

a point not missed with me about George Zimmerman.

You and Zimmerman have a lot in common, and you probably haven't noticed it, or you did, and are hoping noone else notices.

    democrats
    liberal
very anti-gun for everyone else but for YOU personally, guns are ok (evidenced by your "depends on who is a faster draw comment implying you had a gun)

Even SYG - you have screamed its a bad law from the beginning of this case, yet, we just found a reason you would want to use it (when it personally suits your needs which is typical liberal ideals) I'd bet a lot that Zimmerman would not have supported Zimmerman had it not been for the fact that it was him.

But thankful for your admission though. To sum up your position

    1 you can have a gun, I can't
    2. SYG is a bad law if I need it , but is a fine law if YOU PERSONALLY face 25-life and need it. lol

Nothing illegal in walking home from a 7-eleven either. We only have George's word that it was Trayvon who escalated the confrontation. If you have evidence, other than George's testimony, that it was Trayvon who escalated the confrontation, please post it.
BTW, losing a fight isn't evidence of the escalation. It's just evidence of losing a fight.

but that's what you refuse to understand about the legal system.... the prosecution must PROVE it didn't happen that way, George does not have to prove his innocence.

I would support this verdict, even if George came out and now stated "I walked up to him, called him a F-n coon, with my gun drawn and told him to leave, because n-words don't belong in this neighborhood. I then tried to pistol whip him and he took me down so I shot him"

I would STILL support the verdict a month ago simply because you HAVE to prove guilt.... not prove innocence.

The only proof I have to prove that to myself of that belief is the verdicts of OJ, Michael Jackson, Casey Anthony.... I think OJ did it... but the prosecution did not prove it. I will even go one step further and say the following civil trial is paramount to double jeopardy. but I digress.

I thought Casey Anthony and Michael Jackson both did it, too. But both were let go because while the system may not be perfect, I'd put it against any other justice system in the world. I think it's tragic that a little girl was murdered, and noone is to pay for that crime.... but I would rather that happen, than for Casey Anthony to really be innocent and locked up for the rest of her life because noone liked her and we're "pretty sure" she did it.

So, George could have done it exactly like I stated and it still would not change my support of the verdict because noone proved it didn't happen that way.

Well I have never wanted to be a cop.

I have never chased a unarmed kid at night with a loaded weapon.

I have never attacked an off-duty police officer.

I have never had any domestic violence issues.

And last but not least I have never murdered anyone.

So No we don't have anything in common.

Neither party is mine, not the Jackass or the Elephant. So you are wrong again.

Don't get caught up in the cheap labels.

LOL, so since I don't think armed adults should murder unarmed teenagers now I am anti-gun. Talk about some bull(*)(*)(*)(*).

OJ and Michael Jackson are ok with that....

see here is where conservatives and liberals will always differ in avoiding problems....

I am a supporter of if you don't want your daughter to be raped..... educate her on ways to avoid situations she can't handle. Don't dress like a slut, don't set your drink down, use the buddy system at parties.... Libs say that's blaming the victim because guys shouldn't rape and girls should be able to do whatever they want. I will agree, they should be able to, but reality says, we don't live in a perfect world so I say it's an ounce of prevention.

    same with raising a 16 y.o.

if you don't want to be criminally profiled, don't wander a neighborhood at night in the rain in clothes that could be portrayed as criminal. and teach him the dangers that behavior can put him in, even if he's completely innocent. Doing so is not condoning wannabe mall cops actions, it's keeping your son alive.

I teach my son not to walk down Martin Luther King, Jr. BLVD, at 2 am, with fancy jewelry on. Is there anything illegal about my son walking down MLK, Jr. BLVD doing so? Absolutely not. But would anyone be surprised by an bad negative outcome to that situation? Hardly. Does that mean they support the negative outcome? nope.

I am not glad Trayvon is dead.... I just wished Tracy had done a better job of teaching his son about real dangers in the world and how to properly handle them. But I suppose I'm asking a lot from a part-time dad who only had Trayvon because mom kicked him out.

... in a high crime neighborhood, in the rain, casing the neighborhood. But even if he was just walking home, dad failed miserably by 1. letting his son just wander said neighborhood, at night, in the rain.

As I figured, you throw (*)(*)(*)(*) against the wall and hope it sticks. You claim that I made comments and when asked to prove it you can't. Thxs for playing.

but have you ever wanted authority? it's not a cop issue, it's an authority issue. You're a father, have you ever questioned your unarmed son about something he was doing that turned out legit? Did he jump you for it?

but you inferred you have a gun on you at a moment's notice (who's quicker on the draw) So seems like you live in a good neighborhood with little crime or need to be a NW.

    off duty = citizen

as long as we're throwing out charactor bashing not related to this situation..... Zimmerman never got caught with women's jewelry and burglary tools at school

neither has Zimmerman, as evidenced by the verdict

except he'd be a trayvon supportint/ gun control supporting/ anti-syg person.... just like you.

the difference between you both is his hypocracy got called out by this situation.

you clearly stated your support of SYG is dependant on whether or not you face 25-life. Pretty convenient

you can register however you want and try to escape voting democratic. I'm registered republican (duh, I know) but I vote democratic on schoolboard stuff.

but you aren't getting off on a technicality. You can call yourself whatever you want, but we all know who you voted for for POTUS....

name a republican or conservative you have voted for.... I may not vote across the board conservative or republican, but to say I'm not one is not true. And I'm willing to bet I've voted for more democrats/liberals in my life than you have republicans/conservatives. So, yeah, i believe that label fits you just fine.

    anti-syg = gun control

    on this page

me - You could use syg, quite possibly, but by doing so, you woule be a hypocrit since you don't agree with syg laws, huh......

you - A whole lot of folks are hypocrites when it comes to the time they might spend 25yrs to life.

You have no problem using a law when it's convenient for you, even though you argue against it for ME to use = hypocrit. that's why you and zimmerman are alike.... both have the same voting patterns (there, no democrat labels) and both have no problem using a law that both don't like as long as it is convenient to you at the time.

George just got called out on that on a larger scale, you agreed with it on a board as long as it was for you.

your position is clear. The zimmerman case is only a civil rights issue to you because it's convenient to you for it to be a civil rights issue. If the 3 boys that beat the other one over a narcing were white, and the beaten boy was black, you'd still want the hate-crime charges tacked on as well, even though this is clearly not a racially motivated attack, because it's a convenient to your agenda cause.

The Black community has asked for a discussion about race ever since the Tayron Martin/Zimmerman case.

America journalists like Bill O'Reilly began a response which seems to have fizzed out for some reason.
But., the Stats tell us that 70% of ALL violent crime in America is caused by people who were raised by Single Mothers (i.e. Welfare).

The discussion America NEEDS to have is about Welfare which has enticed Black women away from dependence upon marriage to men who economically can not assure them equivalent benefits, like Free Food Stamps, $900/ cash monthly income, $450 for each kid qualifying as Special Education in school, College tuition, $3000/ annual Christmas time bonus, etc.

America NEEDS reform Welfare such that married men who earn minimum wage and have dependent children get these same benefits as long as the wife and kids live with them.
America needs to compete in giving support to married people who do not have the standard of living assure the Welfare people.

That question goes back as long as I've been alive and then some. It reached a peak in the 1960s with Martin Luther King but has had a few peaks and valleys since then.

While I think the creating a society of dependence is wrong, I also think it is wrong to think it is solely a black problem.

the fact that Zimmerman had the wounds to his head and face that matched his testimony and the fact that Martin had gobs of time to simply walk home but chose not to and the fact that a witness saw Martin on top of Zimmerman.

Why do you chose to ignore that evidence?

Actually I think OJ was involved in the murders. I don't think he was alone though. MJ not sure about, especially, after the kid came out later and said his parent put him up to it for the money.

I can't argue with that, I tell my daughter the same thing.

    All good advice.

Well you will have to address that with a Lib.

    Exactly.

So walking to the corner store at night is forbidden. I have been wearing hoodies since my days in HS, a black kid in a hoodie is now "suspicious".

So in other words, teach him that there are still racist out there who will perceive you as a criminal just for the fact you are a black teenager with a hoodie on.

Hmmmm, so Trayvon walking home from the corner store at 7pm in a neighborhood he was living in is equal to walking down MLK Jr Blvd @ 2am with expensive jewelry on.

Well first of all I don't really think he thought he needed to tell his son that walking to the store at 7pm was going to get him killed by a coward with a gun. I am pretty sure it he thought as such he would have warned him.

Please explain how he was casing the neighborhood, since it has been established that wasn't his first time being there.

Unbelieveable. First of all how was he wandering when he was heading home? Secondly, it was raining off and on. So you mean to tell me your 17yr old son is not allowed out by himself at 7pm.

Its the best legal system in the world if you are white. I agree with that.

I read real well. Two statments were made.

    1. I am anti-gun.

    2. I have been speaking against SYG Laws.

I asked for you or anyone for that matter to post my post where I have spoke against citizens owning guns or where I have spoke against SYG Laws.

I will wait for a response.

Not at all, but all you've proven is that Zimmerman was losing a fist fight and that Martin had time to run home. How does that prove Martin started the fight or that Zimmerman is completely innocent of wrongdoing.

To cut off the usual suspects, there's a large difference between "being completely innocent" and being "proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt". Zimmerman walked on the charges of murder and manslaughter. So did OJ, Robert Blake and thousands of others for exactly the same reason; they were not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Anyone who assumes this means they are all completely innocent should reevaluate their understanding of our justice system.

Only to those who are biased to believe it in the first place.

In my opinion, two idiots were wandering that night. One, a kid, is more excusable than the other, a nearly 30 year old with a gun. I doubt Zimmerman is a racist but his actions both prior to February 26th, 2012, that night and after show me that he isn't a hero.
