Fmr AG Barr: ‘I Haven’t Seen Anything that Makes Me Think the President Committed a Crime’

…Barr told host Neil Cavuto that while the committee’s objective is to charge former President Donald Trump criminally, he said he had not seen anything that made him believe Trump had committed a crime.

“Well, I haven’t seen anything that makes me think the president committed a crime,” he said. “What’s come out so far has generally been known before. There were a few things that were new. But I do think there are legitimate areas of inquiry, but I also agree with the congresswoman — that this isn’t set up as an optimal mechanism for getting at the truth, and there is, obviously, a big political overlay.”


“But, you know, I think it’s legitimate to explore whether or not there was a plan to use violence to stop the vote,” Barr continued. “And if there was a plan, was the President involved. I haven’t seen anything up to now that makes me think he was. And I personally doubt it….

These words are very important. Barr doesn’t think that there was in his opinion enough fraud and irregularities to change the election results as shown in the sham hearing. He also having looked at and reviewed all the evidence found absolutely no grounds to charge Trump with any crime.

 

Barr couldn't connect two dots on a page if you gave him a ruler and a protractor.

He said in the interview that you just quoted there are items presented that he wasn’t aware of… did you even bother to follow your own link?

That isn’t what happened thus it’s a moot point. As long as there is a shadow of a doubt as to the legitimacy of one result, the contingency of creating an alternate set just in case is warranted.

That has been my take on it all along. Trump fired up his supporters. His supporters went too far. And that was that. They are after all, human beings with free choice. There may have been some in the mass of people with plans to commit excessive violence. But that's on them. And considering the decades of leftist violence and riots driven by leftist politicians and media. They clearly have no moral high ground to talk about culpability or complicity, when theirs far out trumps, Trumps.

 

When Barr said there wasn't evidence of election fraud, righties said he was a patsy.

Now, they are jumping for joy he's back on their side.

Safe to say they have a narrative in mind and will use whatever and whomever to feed that narrative.

 

Bill Barr was no longer AG when much of the coup was underway, and gone well before 1/6.... I wouldn't have expected him to say anything else...

First, he was an excellent AG. Then he denied there was fraud and became public enemy #1. Today, he's back into their hearts.

And Barr never thought Trump was guilty of anything, legal or illegal, that was his job, Trump's fixer, justified with his supposed belief of the Imperial Presidency,. If he was on the left you'd be accusing him of intellectually justifying a dictatorship

But it is irrelevant, Barr's contribution to understanding January 6th is that he admitted publicly not only did he think the election was fair and valid, but that he informed Trump of the facts. Accompanying all the other inner circle who told Trump the same it proves Trump knew his Big Lie was a Big Lie, but he nevertheless employed it to mobilize attempting to negate the vote of the American people and maintain power at any cost

 

The left just irrationally hates Trump, there is no crime lol nor anything even close to it.
