I never said that. I said that he believes that. I do acknowledge that he said Trump committed no crime and will fully weapon use those words should Garland invent the opposite conclusion out of whole cloth for partisan political purposes.

 

Especially after what Schumer said and the resultant attempted assassination of Justice Kavanaugh.

Turn that around. The left clasped their hands to their bosoms in rapture when Barr said there was no evidence of election fraud. Now that he says there's no evidence of criminality by Trump, the left smokes like a swamp fire. Narrative? I'd say that the entirety of the left is greater than a few Trump zealots.

 

It’s not up to democrats to decide which Republicans can be on a congressional committee. Because Pelosi and democrats did what they did we will simply wage partisan war against the committee, belittle and denigrate its “findings” call it out for the sham that it is and question it’s legitimacy non stop. We will make sure that there can never ever be a bi partisan consensus around it or it’s work as one side is totally excluded. There is no fairness or balance in the committee so there will never ever be a moment where the party abandons Trump like Nixon after that more reasonable committee. Instead we will rally to Trump and double down on our support for him the more this committee does. Any partisan political prosecution by the present regime will be met with mass passive legal civil resistance and non violent civil disobedience unrest.

He says he hasn't seen anything up till now that showed beyond the shadow of doubt that Trump committed crimes, but goes on to state that there is good reason to investigate. Didn't you wonder why he said that? That's because he is calling it like it is, which is there is no "smoking gun" yet, but sees a lot of smoke. Hardly something to crow about.
Not only that, but he is inconsequential at this point. He had his chance to make an official call, but wasn't even acting attorney general on Jan 6th.

I’m saying that nothing will further polarize this country than such a political prosecution. All it will do is make Trumpism all the stronger and make him the symbol of our resistance to the deep state and socialism. You all prosecute him, we will respond by lionizing him and making him the symbol of our resistance and make him a symbolic living martyr to our cause and grievances. The next GOP President will pardon him within minutes of taking office.

It is not a bi partisan committee. No one is on the committee that a Republican placed on it as part of our allotted 5 members. We will simply wage all out war on the credibility and objectivity of it and point out it’s unfairness and ratchet up the polarization in the country over it so that there will be no national consensus on what it creates while we point out national security threats, the border crisis, drug overdose crisis, the pain at the gas pump, run away inflation, the attempted assassination of Kavanaugh, and other problems democrats are ignoring in order to have this witch hunt.
