I think the question is less about if NATO will come to the party than about what they bring. Are their forces up to scratch?

 

I hate to say it but he’s right. Germany has never been tried… I believe Germany in specific would dodge out as soon as things got tuff. France literally just gave their keys away to Hitler. But I do think France would be with us. Turkey has never been politically aligned with the United States little lone the whole west.

I do think NATO would have a few problems but I agree this shouldn’t be blabbed about from our leaders. It will give doubt to allies and give assurance to our enemies. Loose lips sink ships.

First, he took credit for work other people did before he became President.

Second, he denigrated the Euros' NATO commitment after they already proved they were steadfast after 9/11.
Third, he implicitly called into question Article 5, without which there is no NATO.

His remarks were irresponsible, destructive and childish.

 

Ah, but it did have all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation. That's simply a fact. Note that no one said it was Russian disinformation.

I'm not disagreeing with "undisputed facts." I'm disagreeing with your contention that the Hunter laptop did have all the earmarks of Russian disinformation.

 

Ah. Well, the letter's signers (and I) have decades of experience that suggest it did, so there's that.

 

That's the point. Decades of experience and they were totally wrong.

The truth is, it had nothing to do with decades of experience. It was making a crass effort of election interference by people using the fantasy of "decades of experience" to bring legitimacy to a political ploy. Such people burned their credibility for politics.

 

Or, they did what they believed was their duty in the face of a potentially serious threat.

 

If you have seen anything on that laptop, you'd know better than make that comment.

 

I referred to what was known (and not known) in 2020.

 

Don't crawfish now Jack. I knew just as much as all those 'intelligence officials', maybe less, in 2020. It didn't take me but about 10 seconds to know it was real. Russia can't fake banging your dead brother's wife or a plethora of other demented acts.

The Russians and the Chinese already know that most NATO member states are harmless. Look how NATO reacted to the Ukraine invasion.

What Trump said isn't exactly a secret.

 

NATO has been quite strong on Ukraine.

 

Since Trump's remarks are true, then the member states in NATO need to tighten things up. Maybe someone saying it out loud is what those states needed to get motivated.

 

They committed themselves more than two years before Trump became President. He's like the wimp who jumps on the pile after the runner has been tackled.

 

Sadly MAGA believe every word Trump utter about NATO. They have ZERO concept about NATO.

Even MAGA who claim to graduated from West Point believe in this sh$$.

 

Where are they gonna go? Its not like they can move Germany to NW Canada.

They were overwhelmed and Hitler simply went around their defenses and there was nothing they could do. The claim that Fence can't, or won't fight is a myth. During WW1 they mobilized 8 million troops and lost 1.4 million dead (US lost 117K).
