Exactly. That is true and has remained true. Even so, 'spiritual' people tuned to LOVE and the character of Christ and other peacemakers... have helped out LGBT people a great deal.

Yep. I and others are watching closely... even as bigots have become more 'activistic', in their efforts at persecution and discrimination of LGBT. And again, gay people aren't 'after them' (out of spite)... unless they MUST be (defending/protecting themselves). They aren't going to sit idly, and let people dehumanize them for irrational reasons; they are going to (will) fight back... just as any group of human beings being targeted in such a serious manner.

And again, I have had friends of many beliefs and non-beliefs (secular); not once ever, have I NOT seen the "Golden Rule" help in our relationships. Even people who generally wanted to be my 'enemy' (sometimes you can just tell), acted/responded far better to love and compassion, than they did to fear, anger and hatred (the very things so many with "religion" seem to want to DUMP on those unlike themselves).

What is your point? That because gays have a genetic aspect to being gay that they are the
same as blacks?

 

Gay rights are a civil rights. Imagine if we said golfers can not marry. Or carpenters. It is laughable to think that these RIGHTS can be denied.

The comparison (with slaves) is typically VALID... because the inhumanity they suffered come from the same places in the hearts of the spiritually-depraved and unloving, as that which affects LGBT. The same places where resentment of the poor and specially troubled come from.

People who wantonly show that they will not or cannot try to love those they perceive as "enemies"... prove READILY how BOGUS their "Christianity" is. Specifically... if you are a horrible person toward gays, blacks, Muslims, "liberals" or others in your hear/actions, then you at least have some serious (hard) work to do spiritually.

People like that surely wouldn't fool 'Jesus' (He already knows about them)... and they cannot fool every human being for all time either.

 

True, I don't actually know anyone here, just as they don't know me. All anyone has to go on is what is posted here, which can sometimes be misleading but is probably fairly accurate.

Talk about waking up, I was talking about homosexuality being a genetic trait, same as being black, having blue eyes, being short, tall, etc. lol. There is a world of difference. The mistreatment of black ancestors happened before I was born, I could not do anything about it. But the mistreatment of people at the hands of the gay fanatics is occurring today, and gays today can do something about it. Instead, the gay community remains silent about the excessive LGBT attacks on people - silence equates to complicity. Rather than speak out and reign in their zealous brethren, the quiet LGBT's sit and watch, and as evidenced in this forum actually like the mistreatment of men, women and children.

Ok, you're right... the black ancestor thing was long ago, you weren't around then... so how about the way people in the middle east feel about ALL Americans? That's right now.
