    This absolutely disgusts me!

A lieutenant from a police department in Georgia is under investigation after a dash-cam video obtained by Channel 2 Action News appears to show the officer telling a driver during a DUI stop, “Remember, we only kill black people.”

The officer has been placed on administrative leave pending investigation. If it is found that he said it, he should go to prison! We cannot continue to accept this in this world!

What crime did he commit to warrant a prison sentence?

Did you even read the article you linked? It was an inappropriate comment in any professional context but the situation and manner in which he said it wasn’t aggressive or targeting anyone. I don’t think this alone should lead to his firing and it most certainly doesn’t justify prison – he didn’t do anything illegal.

Hmm, trying to diffuse a situation using the left wing media narrative. Maybe not appropriate but certainly not a firing offense.

i am not surprised by rw hypocrisy on this incident. these same yahoos go mental from any blm issue, and claim moral superiority, yet give rationalizations for a clear reason to be fired.

yet another reason why i have no respects for rwers

I think he should go on 1 week unpaid leave and be removed from the captains promotion list for what was a sarcastic remark that he should not have said

what i find truly disgusting are the posters who have made rationalizations for the officer, and even more disguted with the ones that make it a political statement

You can be sent to prison for what you say in the US too (fraud, criminal libel, threats etc.). The fact remains that what the police officer said wasn’t criminal (and wouldn’t be anywhere), the OP was being an idiot (or more likely a troll) and you’re wilfully joining him.

This kind of thing needs to be lifted well clear of the cesspool that is your partisan politics.

I accept your point about criminal threats

And that the officer was not guilty of any crime

Ah, I forget that liberals don't have the skill set to understand sarcasm... Thanks for the reminder.

If this feeble, failed attempt at sarcasm "absolutely disgusts you," better stay indoors in your pajamas with a nice mug of hot cocoa mama made for you. The big bad world may be too rough and tumble for such a thenthitive soul.

One thing can be learned from this thread, and it's advice I repeat to clients daily. We are all on camera all the time today, and whatever we do or say will be interpreted in the worst light possible by the stupidest, most insane, pathologically dishonest and irredeemably ignorant people imaginable... in the media. The general public is a few degrees worse than that even. Keep this in mind always when in public or private.

Really dumb thing to say if he was trying to be funny, he should be fired. This narrative isn't one the police need to make light of, even if they find it wrong and amusing.

Wow, just the fact that you think that is humorous says all that needs to be said.

Is that the best answer you can give?

Why not just admit that no crime was committed?
