Global Warming -- LOL

Well, these days global warming has been laid to rest. That trend/scam/scare went down along with the mercury in the thermometers. Now is anyone on the PF supporting climate change?

 

Not that I'm in the hysterical climate change supporters group, but that's not how it works. You can have periods of cooling lasting years or decades and still over the average have warming occuring. But are these manmade events? Nah. They've been happening for eons. The change in climate probably led to the extinction of dinosaurs.

 

Yes and I believe science is with me as politics is with you.

I have heard that the leadership of the USSW [Utopians for a Safe and Secure World] are looking into a couple of potential replacements.

The leader in the clubhouse thus far comes from a group calling themselves, The Society for Gravitational Studies, a lovely group of scientific types convinced that negative energy from conservative sub-humans is causing the gravitational fields of the sun and planets to be adversely affected which will cause the Earth to be jettisoned out into the galaxy.

Although the group acknowledges this might be a bit of a stretch to convince even the low IQ folks out there, it's plenty believe-able for the Democrat politicians who have aptly demonstrated that rational thinking is so last century.

Global warming is a hoax, even UN members have resigned their positions and called it nothing more than wealth redistribution. As for the scientists, if anyone wanted the government or university to fund research into a theory about global warming being fake and it just being part of a natural cycle they’d be shown the door. Woke governments and universities only fund research that will get them the answers they’re looking for.

It seemed like it was about 2 years ago some people said we had a few months to fix things before we hit the point of no return. It's been a few months to a couple years for at least the 32 years I've been hearing about this cockamamie religion.

It just replaced religion as the "end is near" hysterics.

The interesting connection to religion. It created an original sin myth, a form of atonement a litany of saints, prophets, clergy, acolytes and the devout and the heretics. They even have their own language.

That's one observation of it, it isn't even creative they just ripped off Catholicism. They've even had their version of the Spanish inquisition.

 

Like people that pretend all of the sudden naturally occurring climate change ceased the second the industrial revolution began sand all the change in climate after despite following the same curve was the fault of United States and Europe but somehow not India or China?

Of course our climate is changing. Probably measurable every 5 centuries or so. We can't change it and we can't stop it. But it makes for a good scare and a fund raiser. I've heard one day the sun will burn out -- what can we do about that -- start asking for donations I guess.

 

Our schools are incompetent at teaching rational scientific thought.

I had to put up with nuns decades ago.

A few years ago I was sitting a high school classroom monitoring their Wi-Fi and the teacher demonstration that she didn't know a meter from a kilometer.

They work backwards.... That is to say they already have a conclusion and now they're going to work backwards to "prove" it.

It's pretty funny how they were calling it global warming 25 years ago and when that failed to pan out they had to change the name to climate change.

The authoritarians in charge have to convince people to live in fear so they'll have a justification to control their lives.

Last year Texas had the lowest temps in recorded history. This year the second lowest. Global warming my ass. It's call the weather, not 'climate change'.

 

All that matters is Texas. England having had the hottest summer ever is irrelevant.

 

This old planet has been cycling itself for millions of years. Man hasn’t been around long enough to experience or document the changes.

 

Don't know about others, but right now we are in severe need of some warming where i live!

 

How the logic of billions of tons of greenhouse gases being spewed in to the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel which effects the climate escapes you, a man made phenomenon unique in the history of the Earth to the industrial era, escapes me.
