Please quote where I addressed any of Trump’s policies in this thread. Good luck.

You made a point -- or, more correctly, you tried.
    I proved it false.
Why did you make a false claim?

Look at you, completely, totally and wholly unable to meaningfully address the point put to you.
You claim there is a problem, but when faced with the facts surrounding that supposed problem, you tuck tail and run.

As it took you a long time to research the validity of you arguments, I expected better.

Given the facts, you cannot demonstrate that we have a "gun problem", and thus, you made a claim you know you cannot demonstrate to be true.
    Disagree?

    Facts:
    423,000,000 guns in the US.
About 10k are used to commit murder each year.
About 24k are used to commit suicide each year.
At least 100k are used in self-defense each year

    Please:
    - Define the "problem" you see here.
    - Demonstrate that said "problem" actually exists.
    - Demonstrate the necessity for and efficacy of whatever solution you propose to address this "problem".

Rookie numbers - we need to get these up.
You cannot demonstrate a necessary relationship between the number of guns in the US and the higher rate of gun violence in the US, as compared to other countries.

You cannot demonstrate this to be true, as "too many" and "too easy" are subjective statements.
Thus, your "point", which you laughingly claim you have researched, carries no meaning whatsoever.

You cannot demonstrate this to be true.
Your ability, ot inability, to imagine something is not a valid substitute for demonstrable fact.

Rational, reasoned people do not fear firearms, because they understand firearms are inanimate objects.
Good to know where -you- sit.
You can neither factually define, nor factually demonstrate the existence of the "gun epidemic" you claim.

And, since you use the term "epidemic,", let's put your farce in perspective.
Fact is, around 34,000 of the 423,000,000 gun in the US are used to kill someone - around 0.008038% of the total.
If 0.008038% of almost 30 million who tested positive for Covid died from it - about 2400 people - no one would know it existed.

Fear is always real but not always rational. Some fear death to the point of never living. While you may fear a loved one being shot, private gun owners are the least likely to be the ones firing the shot. People are more likely to be shot by a police officer than a CCW holder. Is anyone calling for a disarmed police force?

Lets go with your fear theory and see if there is a good reason. On the issue of murder, who is the worst offender throughout history?

You will be needing to show the claims I am making.
I get it perfectly. When all the criminals get rid of their guns, then get back to me.

... and teach babies to shoot. Even though you have little of substance to contribute, at least your posts are funny.

It's the default position. Where there are more cars, it is expected that there will be more car accidents. Where there are more alligators, more deaths by alligators are expected. This is not a one-one relation. But it is what's expected. The one that requires the least assumptions. See "Occam's Razor". So if you think that there is no relationship, all things being equal, between the rate of guns available per person and the rate of gun usage in similar developed countries, that would be your burden.

And thus, your admission that you indeed cannot demonstrate a necessary relationship between the number of guns in the US and the higher rate of gun violence in the US, as compared to other countries.

As it took you a long time to research the validity of you arguments, why do you you make claims you know you cannot demonstrate to be true?

Which includes fear of something that doesn't exist. But is hammered into people through fear mongering.

And you believe that we should call for disarming groups depending on how many people they kill. Not a very well thought-out position, obviously. But thinking too far ahead is not an attribute I would ascribe to right-wingers. Otherwise you would have noticed that you'd be demanding that the armed forces be disarmed at times of war.

I think it was Mao. I seem to remember he's responsible for the death of almost 45 million people. Not sure what that has to do with this thread, though.

A statement supported by nothing other than your obstinate and intolerant devotion to your subjective opinions and prejudices.

That me assuming that there are less home invasions that result in a shootout in countries with the strictest gun control than in ours is "ignorant"

Of course, if you don't even know what it is you were calling "ignorant", the hope that you will show evidence to support the claim is likely zero. And the probability of finding any serious arguments in your posts, slowly also approaches that number.

I have never made any such claim. I keep guns for my families protection.

Given your post # 136, the irony found in your statement, above, cannot be overstated.

The pattern of redefining a post and arguing with the position you created was anticipated. Ignoring your reply to what I didn't say, I did ask who was the biggest offender when it comes to murder and you did give a good example. Were Mao's victims unarmed?

There were pretty bloody battles. So I'm guessing many of them were.

I have no idea what it is you think I have ignored, and that has to do with this topic.

I do sense where you are likely going with this. Careful with that, though. If I'm right you're about to prove what is probably the most important point I've been making in this thread. But don't let that stop you! Just be careful to word it so you leave a backdoor open for you to run out through. Don't say I didn't warn you.

So the biggest offender is government and the vast majority of murder victims were unarmed. It doesn't take fear to know these facts. Gun control is not a position of valuing human life. I have never run from a discussion.

Speaking of lessons from history, do you know what this is?

So your point was that murderers can kill you whether you are armed or unarmed? Ok...

Ah, redefine my post and argue with a position you created. Never saw that one coming. Getting back to who is doing most of the murdering and the armed/unarmed status of their victims, to which side does gun control give the advantage?

Go ahead. I can't wait for you to make your point. If you have one, that is. Or unless you thought better and decided that your point would only prove mine. I can even state it for you, if you want.

Another distraction. I think your next move is questioning my desire to be taken seriously. Anything to avoid my simple question.
