Apparently you are looking for a reason to excuse crime? The drugs made me do it? If so- who made the person take the drugs?
I don't care what their excuse is, violent crime happens because the person decides to do it.

Allowing drugs to come across the border is a crime. No President is above the law. Isn’t that what we keep hearing about Trump? Why is Biden getting a pass?

So how do you claim this NRA brainwashing takes place? Do they put something in the water? Subliminal advertising perhaps. lol

And BTW, your island with its population of 26 million or is hardly a role model or a valid analogy for America for any number of obvious reasons, e.,g., population, borders, demographics, history etc. So do you feel sorry for say people in North Korea, or similar places where people cannot own guns? And of course you do not. I have to think that you obsession with America is perhaps related to a certain kind of "envy" described by Freud.

Your post made me recall the following image.

But Being a harm to yourself or others is certainly a condition one can, and should be, detained for.

Since "crazy" isn't a crime, it's unconstitutional to deny crazy people of their 2A rights.

suicide is ok as long as you don't take out people with you..... it's your life to lose

forcing people to live when they have a painful terminal illness is evil

it technically is, unless they are committed - the question is, who can we ban free speech, religion and guns from

if our rights do not apply to the least among us, then do they apply to anyone

The biggest argument presented by the anti-gunners is the number of victims of "gun violence" is suicides, so arguing for assisted suicide is moot.

Suicide by gun is claimed to be "gun violence" and is used to justify banning guns.

I have encountered many conservatives who have said that red flag laws are inherently unconstitutional. The NRA has historically opposed them but has expressed a willingness to accept them under conditions that render them useless.

Your side passed the laws that have kept insane people from being institutionalized. The result has been millions of homeless and on rare occasions, tragedies like the one we just experienced.

I require substantial due process safeguards and extremely severe punishment for those who misuse such laws.

    One point....

The issue with laws is often that they will be misused for political purposes. It's hard to get a good law to work as it's intended when it's in the hands of unscrupulous people.
Corruption in office should be a severe crime, because it affects the quality of life for the entire population.

do you consider suicide to be a crime, I do not (as long as it doesn't harm others property or person)

Anti-gunners consider suicide with a firearm to be "gun violence". They use those numbers to justify banning guns. Don't look at me, look at them.
