Semi-autos have other advantages besides the magazines. Gas operated semi-autos (like the AR-15) kick less than a comparable in weight bolt action chambered for the same round. It's part of the reason for the popularity of semi-auto shotguns. 4
So the fact that a person can be killed with a conventional pencil would make us ALL super powers. The fact that weapons exist should make us all murderers? HOW will we eliminate all weapons- just like we have eliminated illegal drugs? That's the problem. We don't address the mental state the leads some to murder- we think they will change if only they can't get a gun easily. Works so well with drugs, doesn't it?
Its true. I picked up a semi auto shotgun, a lightweight home defense model. Its actually got quite mild recoil, far less than a slide action.
They have airplanes with really powerful bombs. Your rifle, no matter how deadly, is no match. Besides, the best use a bullet in a war, is to the head of the leaders causing the war. A good sharpshooter only needs a single shot. In the US, in the current administration, the best chance of avoiding war, is to force the premature "retirement" of people like John Bolton - who may be behind the recent explosions on the ships.
1301 Tactical Marine. Its actually compact and light enough that I don't mind adding a few accessories. Will be switching out the stock and extending the magazine to 8+1. I kinda want a scabbard for it, but I want to leave the light attached and ready.
Its actually a Mossberg 500 magpull rear with adapter. And the butt pad will be replaced with a Rem 700 recoil reducer. The thing will be a ***** cat to shoot. So far about 250rds of bird and 250 rds of buck without a malfunction.
I kinda had the same situation with my light on mine, so I got one of those wall mount quick release boxes to keep mine in.
Yeah thats probably the better idea. I got the Beretta and then we had a magazine amnesty thing in april so now the AR is viable for home defense here. Whats your primary for home?
Was I not earlier making the point of the necessity of large capacity clips. The guy in top picture, what is his clip? 5?
In some ways, mine is a strange choice, but it makes sense to me. Mine is a Para USA Model 1911, 45acp. It has a relatively low muzzle velocity with little penetrating power. But it will stop an intruder. And I don't want to have to maneuver a long gun in the house.
The colonies fought a guerrilla war against the British. But then, they did get the French to bomb the British navy.
Is it a Para double stack? Not that strange, I also have an HK USP expert in .45 with 17 round mags. However, the .45 does penetrate more than the AR, as crazy as that may sound. 00 buck has the same problem, and while 0 and #1 buck is better-there are almost no tactical/defense rounds like that. Its one reason why police departments are moving away from shotguns and subguns.
