So you just pick one at random (or, more likely, the one you were raised believing in) and dismiss all of the rest even though there is just as much reason to believe in them as the one you currently believe in?

Three blind men hear a noise and try to understand what made the noise. They reach out and touch what they find. One describes what he feels as rough and thick, not unlike a tree. Another finds something whip-like, slim and flexible. The third describes what he finds as a snakelike... alive and slithering.

The noise was from an elephant. One touched his leg, another his tail and the last his trunk. None of them were wrong when they described the elephant, even if they didn't all "see" it the same way.

There are some silly religions out there and maybe none of them have it all right ... but I'd give many of them credit for honestly trying to find truth in the universe and I would grant that more than one of them may have part of the story.

Unless you believe in multiple gods, like I mentioned above about Vishnu.

the question was, do you deny all other gods but the one(s) worshiped on your religion.

    the answer is yes.

    Here's a new question:

Why pick your God over the others? What makes your God more credible than, say, Allah (if you're Christian)?

it doesn't matter. If you pick one, that is the one that has credibility in your mind. All others do not.

is saw it. The argument stops after the first half.
    It doesn't matter after that.

    Faith is proof-less.

    self evident.

If your belief is that they are the creator of all, there can be no belief in others.

But what starts your original decision? In other words, why not just throw a dart at a dart board with names of religions over the board and pick whichever one it hits?

If a God only has credibility in the believer's mind, that proves that people have no idea which God created everything and that it is complete and total guesswork.

Then you'll admit that you have no idea if you are right about your religion and that other religions have just as much of a chance as being right as yours?

Actually, the second half of the post is about how you arrived at the answer to the first question.

    That we can agree on.

    That's not an answer.

Why do you choose your god over the others?

Bollocks. Don't cry martyr when you can't carry a conversation past three replies, just don't waste time posting at all if you can't defend your own statements. I was very straightforward:

    This was dodge number 1.

    Here's dodge number 2

    So...why your god?

Right, so you have not investigated any gods and never thought about what leads to putting faith in one but not others.

    OK, thanks.
Now kindly quit derailing this thread with further disingenuous oneliners.

Billions of people in thousands of other religions say you're wrong. Heck, even your god acknowledges other gods.

Probably because I was exposed to the Holy Bible first. Monotheism makes more sense to me personally because I believe in something that created all things.(all Gods/whatever) I suppose others that worshiped creator Gods were probably praying to the same God anyway.

I think Jesus was trying to tell us about abilities that we are capable of,although difficult to reach that level of faith for most of us, I still believe in it.
