If just 1% of the Locked in Step.....Ultra-Right....Ultra-Left Wing Thinking....Always quick to B!#$% about the other side of an ISSUE....thinks either side is Represented and Supported by SATAN HIMSELF.....believes their Party is all a part of GOD'S PLAN.....or think's anyone who might have or follow a Religion is a COMPLETE MORON....either thinks supporting Union style Employees or supporting Businesses is akin to killing Puppies or Kittens.....either want's to control every aspect of what goes on in a Bedroom or control a persons sexuality or wants to no restraints upon Abortion at any stage of development even in the event it is the last week of the 9th month and both mother and fetus are healthy.....or want's to force a Pregnant 13 year old to carry to full term a fetus existing as a few hundred cells due to a RAPE or INCEST because this poor kid's crazy ass Mom and Dad are so indoctrinated into their Religious Dogma that they locked the kid in her room after they picked her up at the Hospital where she was brought to by the Police who found her bloody, beaten and raped.....so being locked in her room this poor kid was not able to go to a Drug Store and buy Morning After or Plan B which would after taking the pill not allow a Human Egg to implant itself in the child's Uterine Wall thus preventing Pregnancy....so what could have been the simple taking of a PILL.....has now turned into a CLUMP OF CELLS in the very early stages....and as the weeks pass the WACKO'S who have some how found out about this from both sides start growing in numbers outside this poor kids house as her CRAZY PARENTS keep her locked in her room all the while this Fetus Grows....and one side is screaming and carrying signs saying....IT'S A CHILD NOT A CHOICE!......then after too much time passes and we are in the last week of Pregnancy the other side is now carrying signs saying.....IT'S A WOMAN'S BODY AND A WOMAN'S CHOICE.....as what at one time could have been a PILL TAKEN and a NEVER BEEN.....has become due to some CRAZY RELIGIOUS ZEALOTS....an almost fully developed child ready to be born and at this point A WOMAN'S CHOICE SIGNS....just won't cut it.....

.......all the while the whole country is going to HELL because FANATICS FROM BOTH SIDES have made very obvious and very easily answered questions.....that the VAST MAJORITY OF MODERATE AMERICAN'S KNOW WHAT THE PROPER SOLUTION IS TO......these Fringe Maniac Fanatics have bogged down the whole system of Government with Flash Point Issues and other associated MORAL AND SOCIAL BULL S#!%.....so I have figured out what to do.

With all respect to Medea Benjamin, who is a fine author and critic, very knowlegable and resourceful, I find this position in 2009 to be more than a little subservient to her Democrat Elites. With her service in support of Democrat candidates in the past noted, this post election support of Obamas escalation in Af-Pak would be outrageous even if she were an independant commentator, not an "anti-war" leader. Certainly the criticism was muted at best from Ford Foundation sources like Pacifca Radio, and Liberal media NPR,PBS (or outright endorsement promotion) when the decision was made you would be hard pressed to find any broadcast media attacking the Obama war policy. This leaves no doubt in my mind that Foundation funded Liberals, authors and activists are paid to reach conclusions, are academic frauds in service to imperialism, and actors who time public "outrages" accordingly. The war in Afghanistan was also vigorously promoted by the print press. Af-Pak is, and was a serious international war crime, regardless on your views on 9/11, and 8 years of mass murder by President Bush, along with Iraq, bolstered by lies attempting to connect Saddam and Al Queda/ and bogus Sept.11th falsified reporting, and concocted WMD propaganda. Even one more U.S. jet bombing of either country under Obama in 2009 is unjustified considering the lack of evidence against both Pakistan and Afghanistan with regard to the WTC attacks, and indeed the U.S. Government planned both Iraq and Afghan wars well ahead of 9/11 it had been concretely proven.Code Pink and Medea Benjamin only changed their position to "pullout from Afghanistan in 2011 after Obamas heinous bloodbath was well under way, with disasterous results, including 600 wounded soldiers each month.

They were junk at 20K which I paid for my GM junk, and I'm sure they're junk at 40 or 50 K.

 

They are priced right along with their competition. If they sold them for a lot more no one would buy them. But as you can see, GM is putting out some real fine cars. As Consumer Report said, Chevrolet Impala, calling it the best new sedan the magazine has tested. That's saying a hell of a lot for a magazine that has done nothing but praise Japanes cars for the last 15 years and bad mouthed American.

 

The Japanese make cheaper, more reliable cars...sorry. Oh, and they actually HONOR the warranties on their cars too.

 

You keep trying to compare American cars to the ones they put out years ago and they aren't the same. In most cases even the owners and CEO's aren't the same. Neither are the imports. Toyota has had more recalls in the last 5 years than any auto maker. After years of trying Honda is still having transmission trouble. Nissan is recalling over a million vehicles for brake and sensor problems.

I can't understand why an American still wants to trash their own country's products when they are finally putting out some of the best in the world. It only hurts this country and I think we have been hurt enough with this economy the way it is. If it's ever to get better, we need to start supporting what we make and support American companies.

 

I trash it Sir, because I experienced it in reality, and I won't even try and go into the disputes I had with GM over the issues they refused to address (much like the right refuses to address anything). GM BLOWS. They cost me lots of money, and their cars suck.

 

I have mixed emotions on the whole Buy American or Buy Foreign issue.

When Toyota realized they could not build enough cars just in Japan....they went and did a study and found that out of all the countries they could choose from the best place to invest in multi-billion dollar plants was the U.S.

As well they found out that contrary to some peoples belief....the average American Worker is rated #1 as the most productive worker in the world.....so because of this more Toyota's are made in the U.S. than in Japan.

The U.S. Auto Industry is coming back...slowly....but RTWING is right....U.S. Auto's are still too expensive on average.

They need to fix this.

On the flip side, one of the best speeches against the war in Syria that I heard on internet radio was given by Ron Paul and another with Ron Paul Institute guy Director Daniel McAdams. To Ron Pauls credit, his Ron Paul Institute think tank has some good people on it, like Dennis Kucinich, but I also heard a radio interview with another woman, PROF. HILLARY MANN LEVERETT from this think tank, who was an absolute war hawk, and talked like McCain. I would say the same thing about Shauer, Col. Wilkerson who are also members.

It is not clear how such diametrically opposed people can work to the same ends. It is like Tea Party Libertarian host Monica Perez who calls herself a "anarcho-capitalist" Isn't that like saying you think Haagan-Daaz chocolate fudge/Cherry Garcia is the best ice cream? They are two different things altogether! But I think "grass roots" can best be measured by protest numbers, and the number who protested against Iraq worldwide was in the millions. I'm not dissing you by saying the Tea Party is Astroturf its, some Progressives are corporate/govmnt fronts as well I show in my news story links. Its just a fact.

COINTELPRO/ controlled assets/Astroturf exist on both sides of the political spectrum. Sometimes a Prison Planet author will be very keen about how certain "Progressives" are funded by the CIA while ignoring controlled assets in the Right Wing/Tea Party/GOP. Many Liberals will not touch the subject of COINTELPRO or Foundation funding of "grassroots opposition" because it literally indicts 2/3 of all "Progressive" or Liberal websites, radio, and many authors, hosts fear they will ostracized from their various "Progressive" outlets. Many public radio outlets choose to ignore at their own peril, that certain authors, professors, and media icons have been CIA front Foundation funded their entire career and because of name recognition (like Chomksy) feature them anyway. Or they will use Foundation trained or funded journalists from the Hertiage Foundation,(Ann Coulter) the Nation magazine, or Real News Network, have major problems in the credibilty department, because they are still lying about the major issues like the fact that the wars in Libya, Syria and other "Arab Spring" nations were not spontaneous grassroots uprising but were regime change policies enacted by the Pentagon.

What do these radio companies choose the topics for you, like one journalist admitted regarding Clear Channel and the Art Bell show ? That may seem flip but it is a serious question. Who dictates what these radio and TV news/politics shows discuss? Why is there never any hard news about what is going on inside the Libya, Syria countries as there was back in the 1980's, when everyday you could pick up the newspaper, and read about Reagans heinous death squads in Nicaragua and El Salvador?

Thats really obscene how since the Syria airstrike issue was about to be voted out, so the Prez. backed down, now all of a sudden, the terrorists Obama is still arming , the innocent Syrian people Obama is still slaughtering, they are suddenly not newsworthy enough for most news/politics shows? The Syrian people are good people, they are not terrorists, they are peaceful. They deserve to live out their lives without some NeoCon in Liberal clothing like Obama killing them with car bombs, arming terrorists shooting up their homes and slaughtering their women and children for some New World Order strategem concocted by the CIA/Pentagon for the benefit of Big Oil and Big Bankers.

The peoples voice matters, and there is no need for the endless cynicism and fatalism that these war crimes cannot be stopped, as people in the media damn well better realize that you cannot simply sit around waiting for these atrocities to become academic, like some Vietnam war dissertation, or become some post tragedy rationalization during a public radio interview. Progressives, and Independants must have the true believers spirit that change is possible, and that change just isn’t just a word on Buzzflash to feed the Democrat herd with the latest domestic dogma or inside the Beltway kerfuffle. Model for model, American vehicles are not more expensive than imports. If they were, they would hardly sell anything. You have to price yourself along with your competition. RTWING, what year was the GM car you had? My wife and I just priced the new ones and bought two.

 

Sounds like my kind of guy---an "old man with a head" who has been around and seen the world over the decades, how this country has changed (mostly for the worse), and is starting to take stands to 'save' it for the next generations.

 

And yet all the TV/radio networks covered this non-issue without ceasing. That tells you something - not only do words have no meaning in 1984 but in Americas Fascism.

 

I am relatively wealthy and I own a few cars as well as own a few classic American Cars and there is NOTHING like an American Made Truck or Muscle Car from the late 60's.

I just recently purchased MY FIRST FOREIGN CAR....but it is a Toyota and made in the U.S.

I bought this car for my P.A. as it get's great gas mileage and for it's cost, it's guarantee and it's track record...it was the best choice.

What American Cars are lacking...but are getting much better at....is a reasonably priced 40 mpg highway...vehicle.

I prefer a Caddy or Town Car to a Mercedes or Acura or Infinity...etc....as the American Cars seem to have more room and are nicer.

Tommy my boy, congress not the president controls the purse strings and all appropriations bills must originate in the house and guess which party has controlled the house for 68 of the last 80 years and the senate for 72 of the last 80 years. And for six of those years that the Republicans controlled both houses of congress we got as close to balancing the budget as we have at anytime since the Great Depression.
