I believe in global warming; I'm just not sure how much we are affecting it. I also believe in global cooling. In the extreme long term, like I'm talking 1-2k years, I do consider climate change right up there with space impacts as the real problems humanity needs to solve. Until we do, we are at the mercy of these events, like we always have been, and like all life on this planet always has been. But there are hints emerging, that humans have the capability to affect these.

But Al Gore's version of global warming. Nope, not buying anything the guy says after what he did.

Our planet has a cyclical climate change based upon it's wobble and various distance to the sun over thousands of years as well as effects of Volcanism, Solar Activity and other issues.

But currently we are in the fasted paced ever measured for Global Warming.

Whatever the reason it is very real and will have dire consequences.

Reminds me of my Father. He was a dyed in the wool Republican. Called Clinton a "pervert" and "draft dodger." He thought Al Gore was "weird." Then George W Bush became President, and slowly he changed. By 2004 he was in the Kerry camp all the way. He thought Iraq was basically a waste. He has donated to things like Wounded Warrior because he feels that the country sent those young people to that god forbidden country for no reason other then to line rich peoples pockets with oil money. He thanks god that I was out of Air Force by the time Iraq was being invaded. Then in 2008 my Dad voted for a black man for President. This is someone who felt schools should be segregated back in the day. I don't know what happened to my Father. He is no hippie from the 1960s, but today he supports OWS, hates Republicans and voted for someone he would have no problem calling a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) 20 years ago. I don't think my Father has really changed that much, I just think the GOP has changed and my Father found a conscious that he never knew he had when he decided to oppose a war a generation (or two removed) from him.

Trust me, I'm figuring that out real quick. I'm this close to just saying screw it, I'm joining the rest of my family, neighbors, etc., and seeking out any money from any govt program I can find. It's bs how I leave my parking lot of my apt complex every day for the last 2 years, while half the cars just sit there all day in it. This is because half the people in my apts get section 8, and a host of other govt benefits. While I pay $760 a month rent, my neighbors pay $50-$100 a month. They don't need to go anywhere like me. They just sit. And I've watched them for 2 years now.

I have a few times. I became nauseated.
Guess I have no commonsense. But at least I don't get BS from a preacher.

What exactly "nauseated" you? Was it something you didn't get from some website?

Yes, the fanny-sitters get what is thrown to them if they perform government directed antics. They even get a plastic card that looks just like a debit/credit card. Their quality of life does not hinge on their own efforts. It hinges on government legislation of more hand-out programs.

I wouldn't be satisfied with that life style but hey......I understand your logic.

Whoever wrote this doesn't listen to Rush and made this entire story up, based on what liberals say about Rush. Anyone who listens to Rush will know immediately that this story is completely fictional.

    - - - Updated - - -

Now just saying what you said shows that you don't listen to Rush.

Evening/Night shifts and stay at home moms couldn't POSSIBLY factor into your assumption, could it? It's always nice projecting and making assumptions without knowing facts. Hell, maybe some of those dudes run an eBay business. What concern of it is yours where their cars are? Maybe they got 2 cars...I mean, who can drive two cars at once?

Your level of anger is obviously clouding your judgement.

What makes you think he was a republican at all? Everyone knows Clinton was a pervert and a draft dodger and Al Gore is weird, even democrats. I'm a republican and I think Iraq was a waste too but I'm not dumb enough to think the motivation was oil. As an Air Force veteran myself, I wish I could have gotten back in when 9-11 happened. If he supports OWS and had no problem using the "N-word", and wanted school segregation, then he definitely was a democrat because that was a democrat party policy, not a republican one. I agree with you, your father probably hasn't changed that much.

There is a tipping point at which I believe the entitlement programs are just going to explode with everyone seeking them out. I never thought I would either, but after struggling next to people just chillin for years now, I'm starting to reevaluate if/when that tipping point will come. I always thought the govt would act before that happened, but now I'm not so sure.

I used to bring the leasing office lattes. We would always talk at length when I paid rent. They told me directly what the section 8 situation was.

Its really sad how "Progressives" like Amy Goodman, Noam Chomsky, Tom Hartman or Mike Malloy used to claim to have a responsibility to present ethical journalism. Whether the hosts assumed this role this by endorsing the "Fairness Doctrine", denouncing Fox News GOP/Government hackery, exposing Bush/Cheney concocted lies about Iraq-WMD, the same hosts who claimed to have high ethical standards in reporting (Mike Malloy used to work at CNN and fancies himself a journalist) are now caught up in scandal after scandal.

    Note the following:

"However, one of Alternative Radio’s most frequently featured guests, MIT Professor Noam Chomsky, was given a $350,000 "Kyoto Prize" by the Japanese Establishment's Inamori Foundation in 1988."

    http://wherechangeobama.blogspot.com/2012/07/alternative-media-censorship-sponsored_24.html

"According to the Lannan Foundation's Form 990 financial filing for 2008, Amy Goodman's Democracy Now! Productions was given three grants, totaling $375,000, by the Lannan Foundation."

"But the Lannan Foundation apparently doesn't want to allow anti-war journalists who criticize the Democratic Obama Administration's failure to end the endless U.S. military intervention in Iraq-Afghanistan-Pakistan-Libya-Yemen-Somalia to speak too freely in the United States these days, as indicated by Australian anti-war journalist and anti-war filmmaker John Pilger's recent experience with Democracy Now!'s foundation funder."

    http://wherechangeobama.blogspot.com/2011/07/democracy-now-show-funder-censors-anti.html

"Last November, Malloy said he wished an "angel of the Lord" would kill every member of the Tea Party by cutting off their heads.

“These Tea Bag bas***ds who by the way, I just wish they would all just go away -- or, like in Passover, I just wish there was an angel of the Lord that would pass over -- instead of killing the first born in all the households of Egypt just wipe out all the **********s,” he said."

Liberal talker Mike Malloy offers weapon to murder Sen. Ted Cruz

    http://www.examiner.com/article/liberal-talker-mike-malloy-offers-weapon-to-murder-sen-ted-cruz

And Mike Malloy expressed joy at those killed in a tornado, just because they may have been Republicans or Christians who didn't believe in Global Warming.

"On his Mar 2 program, Malloy suggested the storms were God's way of getting back at people he thinks don't believe in science."

“Their God … keeps smashing them into little grease spots on the pavement in Alabama, and Mississippi, and Arkansas, and Georgia, and Oklahoma," Malloy said."

You haven't listened to five minutes of Rush. You couldn't say that if you had listened to him. His show is funny as hell. There is parody that is very well produced and very funny. Try listening for one day. Just be open minded and see if you hear what you've been told he says or something very different.

Too late for that, "conservative" is now synonomous with Paid Govment Hack :clapping:Mike Malloy, who led the "anti-war" audiences during Bushs Iraq-WMD fiasco, seems hell bet on discrediting the "Progressive" and the peace/ anti-war movement as whole with his demoralizing hatred and his misinformation, and distraction stunts performed in his role as a bought and paid for, rabid, Democrat Party attack dog. To hell with Obama war lies, accurate reporting, and pushing for peace in the Middle East or stopping wars, this guy is all about being the Democrat Party version of Limbaugh. If Mike Malloy isn't intentionally planted to destroy Progressivism, he sure is doing a good job of it!

And a note to Fox News anchors, and Clear Channel media stars

hey AMY GOODMAN AND NOAM CHOMSKY ...

REAL JOURNALISTS DON'T MAKE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS !!!

No, the left makes people mad by stating the facts. The right makes people mad by making crap up and twisting everything around.

Not really. The Liberal talk hosts, (not all) have been lying their asses off about false flags in Syria and Libya in order to protect OBummer.

Here in this video, another liar, Noam Chomsky - who gets millions over the years from CIA connected Foundations to spout the government narrative for 9/11, Af-Pak and the New World Order - LIES and says Bush/Cheney aren't crazy (they are),didn't try to connect Sept.11 and Iraq (they did), and implies they had no prior knowledge of 9/11 ... this is what a govmnt paid stooge says ...

Tell it to the Sheeple ...WE KNOW BETTER Howie, thats what COINTEL is paid to do, infiltrate and demoralize the "anti-war" groups. Here lies Dr. Zinn, Mr. COINTELPRO

Rush Limbaugh, like others of his ilk, is a radio entertainer who exploits and exacerbates alienation and disgruntlement.

It's reality-avoidance for older Angry White Guys - much as anti-Christian pulp fiction is for younger Randwanks.

Neither reflects reality and, as escapist self-affirmation, allow the AWG's to avoid the ineluctable changing demographics and social progress that make them hate America.

It sounds as if young rightists are as jaded as their elders.

The College National Republican Committee's survey after the 2012 GOP debacle found that:

Many have retreated into the airy-fairy world of make-believe where sinister conspiracies abound. Actual "leaders" like Boehner, McConnell, and Romney can't compete with bombastic media celebrities. The bitter are captivated by the insubstantial pageant.

I obviously don't know this person, but he sounds like a moron. Anyone that does not do their own research is blind follower. I've met them on both sides, who hasn't?

Who has not talked to a person on a particular topic, and whether or not the disagree or agree with you, further discussion reveals their knowledge on the subject is about as much as can fit in a newspaper headline. This seems to describe the fictional father in the article. Fictitious or not, there are drones on both sides like this.
