Sounds like his dad was tired of being lied to and having his rights and interests flushed down the toilet by the liberal political correctness machine and started to stand up for himself and others.

I have read several George Lakoff's books. He "is" brilliant. Actually, his books are under my bed as we speak.

Limbaugh is okay if you don't take him seriously. I wiled away lots of highway hours in the States listening to him. I can even remember where exactly I was when a young woman eviscerated him, leaving him speechless (and furious with the screener who let her through no doubt). I bought two of his books for chuckles - they were worth it, for the humour I mean. But take him seriously? You have to be joking.

 

What that story just goes to show you is that ignorance is blissful.

Just like the brain numbed Liberals who, without a care in the world, blithely go thru life just accepting the Liberal view of things while the Leftists and radicals in Washington manipulate and conspire to keep the people sheep-like with the help of the MSM while our freedoms are removed from us.

Only liberals are instructed by other liberals on how to think. Thats why they infiltrate colleges where they can get young malleable minds to convince to take sips of their special kool aid drink.

I don't think he's got a lick of common sense in him AND he also insults people on a daily basis on his show. "*******s", "Stupid Liberals", etc. are common terms that get slung around all day without a care, then you get people imitating him on these forums. Hardly common sense, if you ask me from him or his listeners.

But hey, to each his own. Some people like Family Guy, some people like The Simpsons. Just a matter of choice.

 

He doesn't say "*******s" or "stupid liberals". I don't think...based on what you said...that you have listened to him. But.....if you want to just follow the thinking of other people instead of finding out for yourself...that's fine.

Either way, about a 180 degrees different from both those guys and Sean Hannity nearly every issue. Every once in a while something okay will come out of their mouths, and usually just condemnation of individual crimes. Other than that, you can have 'em.

You fault the guy for calling Al Gore names? For Pete's sake, he made $100M selling his TV network to the Qataris. Watch an Inconvenient Truth and then stew on that business deal for a moment. Maybe Gore meant global warming was an inconvenient truth because he was planning to make a bunch of money off a group of people selling more oil than anyone. If you believed in global warming and making money, yep, that truth would be rather inconvenient.

And this is thrown in as an example of the guy being brainwashed? Wow. Gore is a hypocritical traitor, and this guy's dad was right to blast him.

 

Well...the U.S. Military certainly believes in Global Warming as they are creating an additional Carrier Group by extending the USS. Nimitz lifespan to serve as a Arctic Ocean Trade Route Force as the Northern Polar Ice Cap will be mostly gone in the next 5 to 10 years.
