Actually for sixty years Biden has been traveling to countries both hostile and friendly. I suspect several government have clandestine film and later video of any perversion Biden wanted.

I've been open about my support of women's reproductive rights, and obviously the position the GOP has taken on this issue, or at least the social conservative wing of the GOP, is not a better fit for my philosophy. This is one issue, amongst several others, where the position Dems have taken is more consistent with my own. On the other hand, when it comes to the underlying, fundamental of right to self-proprietorship which I have argued is the basis of women's reproductive rights (and Roe should have been based on, imo, instead of privacy), Democrats have been just as happy to violate it as Republicans, with their vaccine mandates and the ObamaCare individual mandate, which Justice Kennedy correctly pointed out profoundly changed the relationship between the individual in a manner, I would add, is completely inconsistent with the principles our country was founded on. The unfortunate fact of the matter is this, and I've stated it before, when it comes to the right to self-proprietorship, both parties are engaged in a race to the bottom where everyone is going to wind up losing in the end.

Of course, this has little to nothing to do with the Democrats' antics after the 2016 election, Trump's antics after the 2020 election, and the Democrats' current assault on our nation's democratic norms. What happened in NYC last week is what happens in rights-repressive second and third world dictatorships that have figured out that shooting their opponents is too blunt an instrument to destroy their opponents, so they use the institutions they control, such as their kangaroo judicial systems, to destroy their opponents and critics. This should bother you, as it bothers the few principled Democrats in this country who still care about our Constitution, rule of law and democratic norms, because they understand that there will be serious negative consequences that come out of this. Republicans will feel inclined to repay the favor by doing some forum shopping of their own, and worst of all, the public's faith and trust in our institutions will be eroded even further. What were the nationwide riots of 2020 and the one at the Capitol on January 6th about but the people's loss of faith and trust in our institutions - the same kind of political chaos and violence one finds in banana republics around the world.

Oh well, huh? Once a bunch of self-serving, power-hungry Akinskyites open that Pandora's Box our republic is worse off for it, but the Left got its orange bête noire and that's all that matters....until their own skullduggery gets turned against them, and eventually it will. In politics, what comes around goes around, and gee, I can't imagine why our politics are as polarized and combative as they are.

Look around you right now - our institutions are so corrupted, our Constitution and rule of law so flagrantly ignored and trampled underfoot by those entrusted to defend them, that the foundation of our government is already in ruins. Were you not paying attention when Antonin Scalia observed shortly before his death that the language in our laws means nothing anymore? Do you not understand the profound implications here? We have become like Ancient Athens and Rome prior to the dissemination of Draco's Code and the Twelve Tables - we are not a constitutional republic governed by the rule of written law, we are a mockery of a constitutional republic governed by the arbitrary fiat of the political elites in this country.

I won't be voting for Trump in November, but contrary to your fear mongering and willingness to overlook the shitshow going on in the White House right now, I seriously doubt things can get any worse. We've pretty much hit rock bottom with this administration - Biden & Co. have lowered the bar so far there's little room left to lower it any further. However, Washington never ceases to disappoint....

You remember correctly, and Republicans are going to continue to pay the price for their own role in eroding our right to self-proprietorship. For example, here in Virginia, it's conceivable that Glenn Youngkin will be the last Republican governor in the Commonwealth, and the GOP will have only itself to blame for that.

What a load of crap Project 2025 is all about restoring transparency and accountability to government. If you thing transparency in government is a bad for government you either don't understand the concept of Democracy or you work for a spy agency spying illicitly on the American people for whom transparency is like a can raid in the middle of a roaches picnic.

Project 2025 seeks to terminate any person or department that doesn’t march in lockstep and recreate them under the complete control of the president with staff that will be vetted and trained by hyper partisan organizations.

Honestly, would you give that power to Biden?

They want to deregulate some of the most harmful industries, dissolve labor laws, ban abortion completely with zero medical exceptions, roll back gay rights not to mention forcing states to assist with these items through mandatory reporting (so much for states rights)

I thought Americans were unique until Trump was elected. In the subsequent years I have accepted, somewhat reluctantly, we are not. Little by little Trumpery, is dismantling the institutional order that safeguarded the country from someone like him. Exploiting weaknesses in our system of laws and government. Making members of the public suspicious of everything from election integrity to our intelligence services. While trying to replace lost faith in the old order with faith in him.

We don't have democracy in this country SB. All your worries have been eclipsed by reality. In the US of A, the government is controlled by special interests, mostly corporations. We have a fascist plutocracy. Wake up and smell the napalm dude, democracy done gone, the people do NOT control the government.

They already are being trained by some of the most hyper partisan organizations on the planet and almost from the day some of them were created. The presidents staff should be on the same page as the president. Biden already has that all though in the case of Joe it would be more accurate to say that his staff is Joe.

So you are fine with Republicans doing it because you believe (without evidence) that Democrats are doing it?

Y’all seem to be basing your entire platform on this strategy on this from conservatives forcing specific topics to children to election fraud.

I think every president should have a staff that follows orders as long as those orders are constitutional and legal. How else do they implement their policies? That was the norm before 1900 when presidents appointed most of the bureaucracy. The only topics grade schoolers should be learning are reading writing and math and that there are negative consequences for bad behavior.

That you people think kids don’t have the capacity to learn topics that you don’t like but should have active shooter drills and be forced to have their rapists baby is a fascinating thought experiment

And a president shouldn’t have a cabinet of yes men that are loyal to him over the nation. Thats what y’all want.

No one man, no political party, no group can dismantle the constitution. Neither Trump or the Republicans can change the fundamental structure of the constitution/amendments/bill of rights. Ultimately, the law and the system prevails. The cries from the left are designed to "justify" keeping Trump off the ballot in 2024, and that is perhaps the scariest issue of the day. But we know that if that happens, Haley will fill that void and beat Biden. So, your choices are a Trump administration, a Haley administration or a Harris administration (as fast as biden would be 25th should he win).

For my part, the Trump administration has done one important thing; it forced the left to expose just how corrupt and without morals they are. They are willing to destroy our democracy to keep it from Trump.

But that's what you have now with Joe. Trained seals screwing up the country. What you all fear is the possibilty that if a Republican president doesn't have to spend his first two years figuring out who he can trust and the converse that he might be able to actually get this country back on it's feet and restore control of this government to the people.

No one man can dismantle the constitutional order, true. The political party that supports him had their chance to reject his attempts to do so after 1/6. They chose to continue to support him over the Constitution, over the peaceful transfer of power, and over an overtly treasonous act in direct contradiction of law. Trump isn't doing it alone. Folks like you are enabling him.

Lowest levels of unemployment in 50 years, lowest levels of inflation of all G7 nations, numerous pieces of bipartisan legislation signed including the CHIPs act.

Your party shut down the government more times than any other when you had control. Are unable to pass even basic legislation in congress. Your leader was impeached twice by bipartisan consensus.

Republicans are pushing for national restrictions on abortion with no exceptions for medical or emergency need, y’all are wanting to erase regulations that were put in place to protect our economy and environment and our people.

The way our electoral college is rigged, it’s always possible for some demagogue to sneak in.
We need the popular vote for potus. Then we won’t have to pander to so-called swing states while ignoring voters in other states.

The people who manufactured a Russian conspiracy and prosecuted their golem for years, burned the country down, wanted a global shutdown and martial law for something with a 99.9% survival rate, demanded people be injected or lose their jobs and access to health care (while releasing actual criminals saying prison was too dangerous), have worked to remove someone they don't like from the ballot, have imprisoned political dissidents for the crime of trespassing for years, and are now conspiring to work state level prosecutions to either bankrupt or imprison their political opponent...

    ....are worried about democracy.

    What a laugh.

You see how you demonize not only trump, but any who are not in lockstep with your views?

That is far more dangerous to our democracy than one man unreasonably trying to hold the office he believed was stolen from him.

This is not a defense of trump, it is condemnation of those so narrow minded and thoughtless that they sell their ethics and morals to skewer what does not agree with them.
