Teachers should have the same right to self defense as anyone else. If the school wants to provide training, wonderful, it totally should.

You do realize that Trump did not write the rule declaring the bump stock to be illegal? The ATF makes such determinations based on it's interpretations of the code. And like too many government agencies, it responds to public emotions and political demands in doing so. When Trump made that statement, he was saying people had to follow the law. I didn't agree that bumps stock made weapons fully auto, and I think most people did not- but good citizens know you can't pick and choose, and only respect the laws you like.

The left on the other hand does exactly that, and makes equal acts into crimes or so-what's depending on what benefits them. The secret documents charges for example, prove that Biden did repeatedly violate the law intentionally. He never had the right to the documents in the first place. And while he shared them with a host writer and had them in unsecured and random storage, Trump had the right, and those documents were stored in a virtual fortress with secret service guards.

People with double standards of justice- are simply not honest people, and only a fool buys that crap. Seems we have a lot of them. They don't blame Trump for what he does, they blame him for being Trump. They have been programmed to hate by political personalities and ignore performance- and haven't objected to it. They seem unable to keep order in their own heads, which disqualifies a person to dictate to others.

 

Yeah... that's why the UAW supports Biden. They can't wait to move to Puerto Vallarta or Shanghai.

If democrats done what Trump done you would be discussing the Democrat gun grabs but when it’s someone you want to vote for you make excuses and will not demonize him the same way. I am completely non partisan in my criticism of gun control. I will never falter my beliefs for a party or any individual either. I will stand my ground no matter who it is.

 

Having trained security personnel is prolly the best option. But its also the really expensive option. Allowing teachers to carry is essentially free. And it has the added benefit of not being cut 5 years later after theres no mass shootings and the principle wants a payraise.

Republicans made their choice, and Trump is their nominee. He is pro-abortion and anti-gun, but it doesn't seem to bother them. I know people who said for decades that abortion was the only reason they vote Republican, but now that abortion is off the table, and GOP nominee is pro-abortion, they'll still pull for him, which tends to show it was never really about abortion, - and its not about gun rights either.

 

As @Pro_Line_FL correctly points out, it's pretty clear that Trump is anti-gun. To us who are pro-gun control that might seem appealing if it weren't for the fact that Trump has that position only because he believes armed people might be an impediment to him becoming a dictator. I think there are other safeguards in our system to prevent Trump from reaching his goal. But his style of act first, think later (or never) might very well produce a blood-bath.

China, you'll remember, has given $Millions in bribes to Bribe Joe.

Trump committed that if the American People trust him with the power, he will hit the products from these massive Auto and Parts Manufacturing Plants that China is building in Mexico, so that they can dump them on US Markets under the North American Trade Agreement, with 100% tariffs, which will protect the US Auto Industry and the US Auto Worker.

Bribed Joe and the Dems, rather than engaging the issue Trump rightfully raises, instead tried to hide it with a disinformation campaign, coordinated with the media, on the very same day that Bribed Joe is arguing before the Supreme Court that he should be able to ABRIDGE the free speech rights of Americans, because Americans lie while he should be able to impose a ministry of truth that prevents Americans from calling him out when he lies, and he lies all the time, about everything.

Now this is a long ways from your mass-shooting topic, but, you are the one who pulled in the "Bloodbath" Disinformation Campaign that Bribed Joe and the Dems are running to hide their plans to take the US Auto Industry from US Auto workers and give it to Mexico and China, into your topic. I know you want gun control but I may be able to deter those who love guns from supporting someone who will and has taken away 2nd amendment liberties and was the first president ever to make a confiscation order.
