He didn't slap Wall Street on the wrist. He rewarded them with bailouts at taxpayer and consumer expense through inflation.

    Ok...

I thought that's what the Auto bailout and stimulas package were for.

LOL, please tell me, what should government do to stimulate the ecconomy? How bout building that Keystone pipeline? Would building a pipeline to increase oil supplies and create jobs help?

If tax cuts aren't the answer, why not push to roll back the Bush Tax cuts instead of fighting to keep extending them?

What direct spending do you recomend?

Last I checked, healthcare hasn't gotten cheaper.

They all contribute to his campain. He owes them.

But he takes there campain donations

No doubt, he fights to extend them. If high taxes are good for the ecconomy, he should be trying to raise everyones taxes. This will generate more money for the government to "spread around"

like the Keystone pipeline. Unemployment checks buy votes. Staying in power is the goal.

Which leads to the question... why on earth would you vote for him again?

Let me clarify, he hasn't done enough to stimulus the economy to where we should be at. He did do enough stimulus to prevent a long recession/depression.

Yes, building pipelines would help, so would bridges, roads, high speed rail systems, etc.

Tax cuts aren't the answer. Tax cuts on the wealthy will not help or hurt the immediate economy. It's more about the long term trend of wealth disparity.

Anything that puts the unemployed to work. We should dump as much money as possible in to alternative energies, the military, NASA, rebuilding our entire infrastructure, etc.

Last I checked we don't have a public option

    Probably so

He takes their employees campaign donations. That is a fallacy usually perpetuated by the uneducated conservatives.

High taxes are not good for the economy

Yes, the Keystone pipeline is a good policy, how that has anything to do with payroll taxes I have no clue... but I would like to see the pipeline built and I would like to see the unemployed work for their checks instead of getting paid to do nothing.

Because the alternative is much much worse! Except I have a feeling Romney would be the Reagan type and convince the uneducated conservatives that we do in fact need to spend a lot of money, lol.

The polls put Obama at a much stronger place vs his republican contenders than he was in 2008. There is no doubt he will win. All of the republicans are just complete jokes. None of them are intelligent people. None of them are all that appealing. None of them would be able to answer the tough questions in a debate.

Fact is while the American people are still unhappy with the current state of the nation they aren't upset enough to put another republican in office.

The funny thing is, the one guy that is actually intelligent in the Republican primaries is in last place... Jon Huntsman. Hahaha, the gong show the Republican's have become is hilarious!!

so what are we in now if not a long recession/depression? I think the government could of givin that 700 and some odd billion dollars back to the tax payers and the economy woulda benifited greatly. Instead it went to people he owed favors too, like solyindra.

    :omg:GREAT!!! Please tell your friends.

I thought thats what the stimulas was for?

1898 called, wants it's trains back.

    Then argue for tax increases.

The ol class warfare card. Why not argue for accross the board tax increases?

How about nuclear power? I know the liberal montra is to continue flushing money into the Solyindras of the world, but when are you people gunna decided that solar/wind will never produce the amount of power needed to make, say, electric cars affordable to plug in? I don't know if you noticed, but the price of energy continues to kill our economy. Meanwhile, the supplie of energy continues to drop. Like I said, tell your friends to support the Keystone pipeline. More energy will bring more advancement.

Ya, F-22s are great for the economy.

    I agree here :)

Would be nice, but I don't see liberals who hate developement in any hurry to fix it.

So thats why healthcare prices continue to rise.

And invites the CEO's for private partys at the whitehouse payed for by the tax payer.

:omg: OMG.... Please tell your friends.

I'm glad we agree that the pipeline is a good thing for America. I just wonder why you support the people who will stop at nothing to see that it is never built?

You are just showing your true colors here. First off Obama didn't owe Solyndra any favors. And the Govt did give much of that $700 billion back in the form of tax cuts. A majority of it also went to bail out the states who were bankrupt.

    What?

I don't think any taxes should be increased. But if the Republican's are going to force the Govt to reduce the deficit then I think we should raise taxes on the wealthy instead of cut spending.

Has nothing to do with class warfare. Just basic economics. Of course you wouldn't understand this though because you already judge every person you meet when they support anything that Obama does.

    Someone has to build them

It would require spending money, which the Republican's have made it apparent that they are not going to allow

    It could have helped

I'm sure no other President has ever hung out with a CEO on paid for by the tax payer

Because the pipeline is only a small fraction of what is needed in America. The pipeline would not solve our economic problems.

So The Obama was lieing when he said it was for shovel ready projects? He should of said its for tax cuts and bailouts

Just sayin rail is a joke

    :omg: GREAT, Tell your friends

I think the populas is taxed enough. I think the government needs to cut spending. Look at all the money our government sends over seas.

the "tax the rich" card has been around for a while. The Obama isn't the first guy to play it. I just ask people who support The Obama's policys to defend them.

    yup, I agree.

How about approving plans on the table already? Like the pipeline? So many projects are on hold because they can't get the go head from the government.

So why take it out? The Dems owned congress for the first 2 years of The Obama's rein. He shoulda got everything he wanted.

So that makes it ok i guess...

The pipeline is just one of many projects that the government holds back. It's the anti-growth policys of the left on full display. Instead of making more energy for everyone, they try to force everyone to use less.

I suppose I'll never understand Iranian buttkissers.

Question: Would these buttholes kiss a camel's butt before, or after their favorite predilection .....just to heighten the flavour ?

Funny how the ONLY thing the GOP and all the Cons in this forum have NOTHING but attacks (mostly unfounded) on Obama to try to win the Presidency. . .

It seems that EACH GOP candidate is soooo disappointing, and so disliked by just about 85% of the people that they cannot built a campaign on what "accomplishment" their preferred candidate could possibly boast, or how they would fix the economy faster and better than Obama!

You have NOTHING positive to build a campaign on. . .only negativity!

And still, you don't seem to be able to face the truth! You don't seem to be able to face the fact that TODAY, and probably not for the next 9 month at least, THERE IS NO ONE who can predict the outcome of the 2012 elections. . .It doesnt' mean that your GOP candidate will not win in Nov, 2012. . .but it certainly doesn't mean that he will!

At least, most Democrats DO REALIZE that Obama has no certitude of being reelected. . but that he has at least as much chance to a second term than any of the GOP candidates have to defeat him in the elections. WE KNOW the reality of today's politics.

Not true. I defended The Obama when he killed that American terroist guy. And I praised him for havin the guts to kill Bin Lauden. But I strongly disagree with 99% of his policys.

I agree with you. I was a Cain fan, but now I don't really have a horse in the race. They don't come out and say how'd they fix things, except Cain with 999. All they do is bicker at eachother.

Newt has some good things, like welfare reform and whatnot, but you're right. There are no real leaders who have anything in there record worth running on, including The Obama.

I predict The Obama will win. I hope he don't, but I don't see any of the Reps building enough general support to beat The Obama and his billion dollar political machine.

I don't think the GOP has anyone who can gather the support needed to beat an encombant. A sad era for America. By the time The Obama's rein is over, we'll have 30 trillion in debt and nothing to show for it.

I predict that your predictions will be completely wrong. I also predict that when you do show up here on this forum again, Hell will have frozen over. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens to liberals when they are completely out-classed. I have been taking Greg to school while I raked him over the coals over the last week. I have broken his heart, his back and his will to go on. I hardly believe that we will be seeing Greg in 11 months, so if anyone does see him, be sure to send me a PM to let me know that Hell hath freezeth over.

OR America could stop EXPORTING more oil than it IMPORTS. Then even without the pipeline we wouldn't need their oil.

We only export oil because the price is so high. Increasing the supply of oil would hurt people like OPEC which is why The Obama and liberals are so against it. They are scared of offending Muslims.

But I'm sure your droning will never stop. Even after 2016 when yet another Democrat will occupy the White House. And I don't write that with any amount of satisfaction either.
