Was there a conviction against Clinton when impeachment articles were filed?

So, I take it you think someone should be convicted first, then expelled?

Did the Dems vote to remove him?

Nope just a criminal referal from the OIC requesting impeachment so he could be prosecuted. Of course many on the left still maintain his innocence and that he should nit have been because he wasn't convicted in a court, his plea bargain being ignored

I'm asking others what THEY believe. It doesn't take a criminal conviction as far as I'm concerned.

A good start but ultimately meaningless if not followed by more expulsions of other corrupt politicians. Unlike Trump, I actually want the swamp drained of corrupt politicians from both parties.

These questions about a conviction being a prerequisite to expulsion are tedious. Rules don’t require a conviction, and the law doesn’t require one either. The end.

Santos ought to be put in jail, because that's where he belongs. I hope they find Santos guilty of what he's committed. I believe congress did the right thing in expelling Santos and he got just what he deserved and Santos isn't sorry for what he did. His actions were deliberate. That's all I'm going to say for now.

Did somebody call my name ?

To what plea bargain do you refer ?
Post a transcript of the court hearing in which Clinton plead to a crime.

If not , you just made a false statement. Again.

Patience. If the evidence is as the ethics committee says it is, he’ll end up as a guest of the government.

Good riddance! Shouldn't have taken this long, but glad the GOP did the right thing here. Let's see if the Democrats do the same to Menendez.

So a congressional committee saying there were crimes committed is enough, there doesn't have to be a conviction of any kind?

    Gotcha!

Why do you take that? I think it is up to Congress to decide if the evidence warrants it and doesn't require a crime, corruption is not necessarily criminal.

The one that doesn’t have a transcript of a hearing and a plea before a judge ?

    That’s not a plea.
You just made another false statement.
You have no link to any transcript.

Bill Clinton never plead to a crime.

Didn't need one, if you can refute it then do it there not here. I keep asking you to do you so and you refuse. But then you can't since he did cop a plea the pending charges.

He absolutely did not. No court record of a plea in any court in this country.

You..... you realize that impeachment is in the house and conviction is in the senate right?
Like.... the house impeached Clinton, meaning they thought there were enough to try an issue in the senate.
The senate declined to convict, as it has for every presidential impeachment.
