That is so much horse crap! You wouldn't know what a pro-life person would do if it hit you in the face. Many of us who believe in the sanctity of life are democrats. Only the left wing nuts want to kill babies in the womb.

Actually I believe in allowing choice. That way those who murder innocent babies in the womb will burn in hell.

got to disagree with you, there is ample evidence here on this very forum of pro-life supporters stating that once it is born it isn't their problem.
It seem a little strange that some pro-life people fight so strongly to get abortion made illegal but have little or no concern for those it would effect the greatest ie the poorest, by trying to get cuts in welfare the poorest are those who suffer the most, even more so if they don't have access to free abortions.
Another argument that comes forward is that these people should get jobs, how exactly can they do that when there are not enough jobs to employ every, of age, person in the US.

This is pure BS with no support whatsoever. Show me an instance where republicans wanted to cut basic aid to children in need.

    - - - Updated - - -

 I noticed you didn't post any examples, just more diarreah of the fingers from you.

Welfare is full of fraud, even Clinton saw the need to reign it in when he was in office. Obama's base is welfare recipients so you will not see him propose cleaning the program up.

Furthermore the reason jobs are not available is this disastrous train wreck Obama care bill that is scaring businesses and keeping them from hiring people. and the out of control spending even Democrats are starting to complain about. If he is as smart as you guys say he is, then he is obviously systematically trying to destroy the United States of America.

I have posted the Republican's attempts to cut funding to programs for the poor. YOU chose to ignore it. It is easily googled even by you.

YOU call it BS with NO support of that whatsoever.

Only an idiot would deny it when it is fact.

Likewise MANY DEMOCRATS OPPOSE ABORTION AND RECOGNIZE IT AS HOMICIDE.

    WHat's YOUR point?

    - - - Updated - - -

 obviously it was far less than convincing. Your Boogie man , being the the Republicans, is myth or possibly the by product of psychosis.

You deny that abortion is a homicide when it is an OBVIOUS FACT, so I guess that makes you an.... well you said it not me.

The fact is...you work in this field you know who the hard workers are. And ya know what...its not the pro-abort crowd.

    - - - Updated - - -

WEll then based on what you say rape and pedophelia should be legal...right? You say I have no right to want laws based on morality....then you are pro-rape, incest, child abuse. None should be illegal. Right?

Wrong! Those laws are based on disrupting order in society, it is only incidental that they are immoral.

Killing a man's child isn't disrupting society? Killing a grandmother's grandchild isn't? You are delusional

This is what happens every time an abortion is committed.

NO. The rules of right conduct might be what you were taught in church or temple, it might be what you were taught by your mother, it might be just what you reasoned to be the right thing to do. Things like (a) don't lie to people, (b) don't treat people in a condescending manner, etc.

Yes, they would be good laws. Most laws of man come from the laws of God whether the Godless ones want to believe it or not. Remember though, God gave us free will; which means we can deny God and break his laws. That is what happens when abortionists to their work; and if they do not reconcile themselves with God they will burn in hell.

The interesting part of it, even if the sinners don't realize it or believe it won't protect them in the end.

    Do they?
Care to provide evidence to support that most laws come from the laws of god, oh while we are at it can you please show evidence that the "laws of god" are not actually laws of man .. they were written by men you know.
I have yet to see one law written by god, can you point one out for me?

The 10 commandments were written on stone by God himself. All the other laws of man came in one way or another from the laws of God. That is all the proof a reasonable man needs and you cannot find a single proof that it is not fact.

Basically, in my 78 years I have not find mankind smart enough to create the laws we live by routinely, especially the areligious nuts I have read, heard or spoken to. And that goes double for the areligious on this thread who spout so much absolute garbage, none of which could think outside of the box in which their brain is located.

I suppose I am unreasonable then:

"There are great similarities between God's Torah and Hammurabi's code. (The 10 commandments sum up all commands and are included in Torah) For example, Hammurabi said "If a man puts out the eye of an equal, his eye shall be put out." The Torah version is:

Exo 21:24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
Exo 21:25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

What Hammurabi's code lacks is the ability to discern intent. If you killed within the society ruled under his code, you were killed. Whereas Torah, God's law or instruction, allows for intent to be considered. Thus a kiilling may not be murder but manslaughter.

The code of Hammurabi predates the giving of the 10 commandments by a few hundred years. However, what is often overlooked is that God's Torah was committed to writing a couple of hundred years after Hammurabi's code, but there is ample evidence that God's Torah (laws, instructions) were well known LONG before Sinai. For example:

    Gen 26:4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;
Gen 26:5 because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws." (laws is torahs in the Hebrew manuscripts)

    And....

Exo 16:28 And the Lord said to Moses, "How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

In the Genesis reference, Abraham obviously kept God's commandments and laws a good 400 years before Sinai and more than 100 years before Hammurabi's code. In the Exd. passage above, God asking how long will they refuse to keep his commands happens a couple of years before Sinai. I share those two references to show that God's laws/commands were known before they were written on stone.

Some historians point to the Torah/Sinai being inspired by Hammurabi's code, and I accept that perspective as valid even if I personally do not agree with it. I personally see scripture revealing that Hammurabi might have been inspired by the laws/commands of the Hebrew God."

I agree! BTW, Hammurabi Code may have predated the 10 Commandments, but that was just God repeating himself, something he has done many times in the last few thousand years. He continues repeating himself through the Holy Spirit since man has screwed up God's law every time he tried to codify it.

    Were they?

Care to provide evidence to support this, as far as I am aware we only have one eye witness account as to where the stone tablets upon which the commandments are written came from .. would you trust a single source of evidence to support something?

Interesting that you proclaim atheists cannot think outside the box, when it is the religious who follow a doctrine created some 2,000 years ago by a culture that could not have had any understanding or knowledge of the world today .. I think you need to look closer to home to see the true close minded.

How about a good tongue in cheek! I saw Charlton Heston come down off the mountain in Moses the movie:)

The fact is, I don't need proof. Neither of us can prove this point. When I was a young man questioning the existence of God I was put into position to see the beauty of our earth and its inhabitants. I came to the conclusion that there is no way it could have all happened by accident. That Fugazi is all the proof I and reasonable people need.

BTW, the mere fact that 2,000 years ago the law was so perfect and generally stood the test of time is more evidence to support my opinion. But what the hey, I like to see the Godless whine and cry about proof when they have even less.

Facts without proof are merely opinion.

The law wasn't so perfect and certainly hasn't stood the test of time, if it had why would religions feel the need to re-appraise their positions on a number of things, and if the laws were so perfect why do you (and other Christians) not adhere strictly to the 613 laws contained within the bible.
    There is ample evidence to show that the laws of the bible have been pushed out, take the following for example;

We do not stone those who commit adultery
    Slavery is no long acceptable

One other item, do you consider people of other religions godless because they do not believe in your flavor of god?

Your questions really bring up the bigger picture.

It is just amazing that just the mention of the name Jesus Christ brings up so many emotions. Love, hatred... This one name....provokes so much.
The worlds finest artists...musicians....writers....many dedicated their lives works to Christ and Christianity.

Jesus a carpenter...lived only 33 years and look what He did to this earth. Look at the influence that His life has had on humanity...the history and cultures of the world. Why? I mean people have been martyred for Him. The disciples...all but one I believe died horrendous deaths. Why would anyone devote their lives, even die for a lie? Why does Jesus cause such a fuss? Any historian will tell you that Christ has been the most dominant influence in the history of the world...just look at the evidence. He changes lives.

When people curse His Name, bash and make fun of Him...nothing is ever said. And when people give Him reverence and respect and want to pray in His Name...people freak out. They feel so offended and violated. Look on this forum the venomous hatred for Christians. A man who did nothing to hurt anyone in His life and people curse Him. And yet throughout all the ages...billions of people have found healing and comfort through Christ.

I believe that the war going on today is not between politics or religion but between good and evil, God and Satan. The war is over the one who bears the name Christ.

As for the law....The Law was perfect but those who were supposed to follow it could not do it perfectly...that is why Christ came. Gods Word has stood the test of time..because it is the truth. What is the best selling book of all time? The Bible. Why do you think that is?

What good would it do to explain the Law to you? No matter what we say...it won't matter. You are not open to information.
