Not all bucking horses are mails and very few of the males haven't been gelded. I've personally never seen a stud used as a bucking horse.

That does seem to be their bottom line on just about every issue.

Fast food joints are thriving here in liberal-land. Their feigned concern for animals is not fooling anyone.

    Oh? Ok...
Always great to see another completely objective (Completely NON-OPINIONATED Article) posted in the Current Events Section...
just one more example of California's radical progressivism — a state so out of touch with mainstream America that it's turning its back on a tradition as hallowed as apple pie
^Straight "News", Without even a Trace of "Opinion"...
Anyway, I have no problem with Rodeos...
    Any favorite Rodeo Movies?

Yup! anyone watching the NFL right now should question why a prosecuted Dog torturer like Michael Vick would ever be allowed to play in the NFL again to make Millions. If were going to ban Rodeo's, how bout we ban the NFL too. Don't see California getting ready to Ban Football any time soon.

Take it up with the Los Angeles Times. It’s their news article. I understand that to some here on the left, covering both sides of an issue is opinion since only their opinion is news.

Couple questions. Can anyone tell me what activities rodeo performance/competition are modeled on?

How many here in opposition to rodeo eat hamburgers or steaks or ribs or roasts?

I spose there's a valid point that rodeos are unnecessarily cruel to animals, but no more so than training a riding horse or a pet dog. And certainly no more so than 'factory farming'... This just more CA abandoning objectivity and using the law as a cudgel to beat people that aren't winning the high school popularity contest.

CA still elects its Sheriffs locally. Elect a Sheriff that refuses to enforce bans on rodeos. Thats what we in WA (and OR recently) do when the coasteys ram through their gun control BS.

The Rodeo is more than what was described and I think it the idea of banning people is being done by people who do not understand the significance of this. For the "brocking bulls and horses," there is a strap that makes it uncomfortable for the animal, hence why they buck. Take that strap away, and they really don't do that. But it is all perfectly natural as well. That bucking is what keeps the cougars away if they were attacking a lonely stray.

Best Rodeos out there: Houston, Fort Worth, and the Calgary Stampede.

Rural California sheriffs do the same thing. They didn’t enforce any lockdowns or mask mandates either. Our sheriff actually allowed an outdoor gathering for a rodeo event early May 2020.

?? I don't see that answering the questions pertaining to rodeos and animal treatment.

Yes, there is a divide between urban and rural in America. I suspect it might be the largest of divides we have.

However, as you point out there is somewhat of a buffer AND the majority of America is urban - not rural.

    And, it goes both ways.

It's seriously irritating for urban dwellers that the over representation of rural America forces gun laws that are ridiculous for an urban environment.

No — meat is too tasty and needed for health, although I do support ethical farming and am heavily invested in cultured meat.

There is a difference, IMO anyway, between raising an animal to feed people as long as it is not abused verses shocking it and chasing it around a field for entertainment.

It is terrifying how you think that is pedophilia while you ignore actual child rapes from religious organizations.

No wonder the public is so disgusted by what your team has become.

I am not sure you are a familiar with the physics of bull riding. The only animal that gets injured (or killed) is the human. An unarmed 150 lb man vs an 1800 lb bull and here you are worrying about the bull. ROFLMAO. You can't even bring yourself to argue from the aspect of rider safety. You literally value animal life more than human life. That seems to be a defining characteristic of the left.
