Is there any way America can improve its image in the world?

The question should be: Why the hell should the USA have to care about what ANY other country or people think about it?

The only thing that counts is - what other country on the face of this earth has more people clamoring to enter it to live a better life?

 

The people "clamouring to enter it" are Mexicans trying to escape from the drug lords you fund. See the irony in that?

 

The vast majority of Americans say no to drugs. So who is "you"?

Oh, and even though I'm probably pissing you off, please don't threaten me with violence like you did with guttermouth.

And......the vast majority of Americans you say are opposed to drugs don't seem to have much effect on the vast minority that takes them. And thus keep Mexican cartels in the game.

 

We've made drugs illegal in spite of the morons who want to legalize them. We try everything we can to stop the flow of drugs and prosecute its use, sale, and trafficking. What more could we be doing that you're criticizing us for not doing enough?

You decided to derail that into a diatribe about American drug consumption and why you are so inept at preventing them from being consumed in the US.

 

Because you're blaming America for Mexican drug lords when America is doing all it can to stop the drug trade. It's an undeserved criticism.

Maybe you're right. We aren't doing enough. We should erect a granite wall 2000 miles long and man it with machine gun towers and use sophisticated equipment to detect and collapse tunnels. And if you think I'm being sarcastic...

We can take our government from the wealthy.

We can stop supporting death squads in Colombia, Honduras, and lots of other places.

We can restructure society to use less resources per capita and redistribute our wealth rather than allowing a ridiculously tiny percentage to control the majority of our resources.

We can repay our massive debt by educating and deploying a high tech workforce that actually creates goods worth trading for that increase the quality of life for everyone rather than training up more McWorkers and mercenaries for some bizarre New Rome - New Sparta fusion like what we've got going now.

We could apologize after we've gotten our leaders on a proper leash.

Oh yeah, and we could all actually learn history and current events rather than playing the clown as ignorant, hypocritical fools who can't find any country on a map we're not currently at war with.

 

The Israelis do it. With the billions of dollars you give them.

Imho USA has a fundamental role in modern history, you have to be the world's leading example in the fight against racism, discrimination, inequality. In the present situation, america is fluctuating on a thin line, and opinions are very mixed, not only in foreign countries, but inside USA as well, as i can see. Should america fail in it's role and become a totalitarian state, then a path for a WW3 would open. Let's hope it doesn't.

 

That is just pure, unadulterated rubbish. And far more likely than a third world war is the likelihood the US will dissolve into civil war.
