Have you noticed all the calls now for Israel to "pause" the war. Politicians, the media, certainly the Arabs, college kids, and even President Biden are calling for Israel to "pause". Seems every war Israel is in is because someone attacked them. Then when Israel is kicking butt so many want Israel to stop. Now I ask you this one simple question -- Of all these people speaking out, is anyone only calling for Hamas to release the innocent hostages? Biden says he is working to get them released, others want them released. But where are the demonstrations with signs calling for Hamas to "Release the hostages". Where are the headlines in the media saying "Release the hostages"?
Israel gets attacked, it's citizens killed, and they strike back only to be made to look like the bad guys. Release the damn hostages, Hamas.

Anyway, you mentioned a good comparison, but there are some crucial differences:

The US has absorbed the natives and matured for over 300 years, while “Israel” is a relatively young European colony (~75 yrs) still struggling against the indigenous people of Palestine.

So it would be better to cancel the Zionist project.
The small profit does not justify the huge effort.

 

That's great for those 200 lives, but that is a drop in the innocent deaths bucket. Is your proposal that Israel pause the bombing and provide full access to humanitarian aide as a response to that release? You know they won't get released regardless of any 'calls' and Israel would not change a damn thing in their tactics if they did, and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of innocent Palestinians including children will die as the mass starvation, and bombing deaths continue to mount either way.

The hostages captured and the hostage released will not affect anything with respect to this war or how its waged. They are innocent pawns just as the Palestinian people are, its just that they represent a miniscule fraction of them.

 

Then the Palestinian people should be calling for liberation and to expunge Hamas from their ranks.

But we are certainly seeing none of that go on.

 

Geez. Don't be dense. Who do you think has the firepower in Gaza? Who do you think has all the govt services and authority in Gaza> Are you under the impression that Hamas and its soldiers respects some second amendment right to free assembly and speech?

 

Isn't it interesting how leftists are always pointing towards history, 200-400 years into history, when talking about whites v blacks here in the US. But when it comes to Israel they completely ignore history and only go back to 1948 and claim anything before that is irrelevant.
